Podcast #59: Law of Attraction: Don’t Forget to Cut Yourself Some Slack

Once we get our hands on a teaching like the law of attraction, we usually start putting a lot of pressure on ourselves to cultivate a more ‘manifesting-friendly’ vibe. There is no time for processing our crap or struggling–we want our stuff and we want it now.

And pretty much right out the gate, we are being way too hard on ourselves. Remembering to cut yourself some slack will cut down on the suffering quotient immensely.

Ryan is joining me on this podcast because I knew he would have lots of great insights into this topic.

Here and there, the audio gets a bit wonky for like one or two seconds at a time by making our voice sound a bit weird but nothing cuts so you don’t miss anything. So I felt okay publishing it as is rather than attempting to redo it.

    I’m so glad I stumbled across your site last night. I love the articles & insight you provide.

    LOA is something that I’ve been interested in the past several months. My partner & I have been trying to have a baby the past few months. I’ve prayed about this for several months & put my order in to the Universe in May. I have faith & truly believe & know we will have our baby.

    Right now I feel like I’m stuck in a rut for the past few days & I try to live in the moment & take the day as it comes etc but I’ve just have had a crappy attitude. I feel warm fuzzies & happy when I think about our baby etc but then I fall back into a blah crappy attitude if that makes sense? I don’t lIke feeling this way & it seems the harder I try to get myself out of this rut, the worse it gets.

    Any suggestions?

      Thank you for your comment and I am so glad you are enjoying the content. It is really important not to put pressure on yourself to be super high-energy all the time. I know there is that pressure when we start following a teaching like the LOA. Sometimes you just won’t feel good and there really won’t be a reason. Sometimes you might find you have been trying to force a vibration that is kind of far from where you are now, and you can’t really maintain it, and it doesn’t take much to get knocked out of it.

      There are likely some fears, doubts,etc…being triggered by your situation and that is likely contributing to the more negative states so while you don’t have to analyze your mind constantly, when it comes to manifestations that are really important to us, things we really want, we do have to be more vigilant about looking for things surfacing that we need to look at. It is easy to slip into denial about these issues because we just want to be happy and we don’t want to think about that stuff.

      The more we want something, the more resistance there tends to be, because we often are looking to create from a space of resisting our current reality, thinking the manifestation is the answer to quelling all sorts of fears and negative feelings. So the more we want something, the more likely it is we have those stronger energies present. Don’t be afraid to look at them.
