Specific focus on what you want is great and all, but the real energetic transformation will come with going general with vibration management.

  1. Your point about cleaning up your general energy is a really good one. In that regard, what you’re talking about is the same as Abraham-Hicks. But to first answer your question, what they mean is a little different when they suggest “going general.” When they talk about going general, they mean getting off the specifics of any topic because it’s actually activating the lack or negative end of the stick, rather than the end you want to focus on in a positive way.

They say to just think or talk about any topic until the specifics start to worry you or make you start asking “How is that going to manifest?” So, rather than visualizing a perfect job, you would simply say things like, “The right job is out there for me and will find me. I don’t need to think about the details of it. I have resources, and I’m a desirable candidate.”

One thing Abraham-Hicks talked about that is in common with this podcast is what I call “net vibrational gain.” (Abraham calls it an “energy wobble.”) They say that if you get all happy about one thing and then negative about another, it’s like a tire stuck in a rut: you don’t make any progress getting out of where you are. So, I agree, the general energy is important because it’s the net gain that counts (I think that’s what you were trying to say).

I find the most helpful thing of all regarding general vibrations and the LOA is very simple. Constantly ask yourself, “Is this a satisfying thought?” If not, figure out a way to go general or get off the topic. If it is satisfying, milk it for more. I think if you do that and nothing else regarding vibration management, you’ll make progress towards what you want and you’ll feel better in the process.

    1. Hi Patricia
Thanks for the primer on all that…I knew it was something more about thinking about specific things in a ‘general’ way. I love that question—questions are very powerful for shifting gears in thinking and getting us off auto-pilot. Thanks for sharing such an insightful comment!
