Studying the law of attraction was the linchpin in creating the life I have created for myself, and today I share some tips that were really the foundation for manifesting the life I actually wanted. I hope you enjoy it.

Podcast Episode #16: Law of Attraction: Top Tips from My Own Manifesting Success

Thank you!
You’re welcome Jane. Glad you enjoyed it!
Yet another great podcast, Kelli, thank you! I can’t tell you how much I look forward to your podcasts and how much you have helped me focus on better manifestations in my life. I think your combination of belief in LOA with your down-to-earth, “yeah, sometimes I fuck up my shit” realism works perfectly with my own way of thinking. Sometimes those LOA gurus just seem too inaccessible, and it’s hard for me to apply their suggestions. Or their suggestions are so unrealistic (give up animal products, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, gluten, and pretty much anything else that tastes good, and THEN you’ll get what you want) that they are not feasible for me where I am in my life.
So funny, I live as an expat and work primarily as a freelance writer. Recently, one of the main sites I write for doing relatively high-paying content work has been going through numerous changes, and the amount of available work dropped considerably. I too went from making more than I needed every day to struggling to survive. It’s been very up and down since then, which has coincided with a lot of other no bueno stuff in my life. Sounds familiar, right?!
You raised a very good point in your podcast, which was good for me to hear again, saying that blaming isn’t going to get myself anywhere, whether that’s blaming the company I write for or blaming myself. One thing I have learned–and you sort of touched on this when you spoke about how LOA works in the greater scheme of life–is that sometimes this chaos, which seems horrible at the time, can be, in essence, a fated redirection–IF you let it carry you to something better.
I believe that the events in our lives are a combination of our own manifestations, our “fate” or “karma” or whatever you want to call the decisions we made about our lives before we came into our physical bodies, and the manifestations of those around us. We tend, I think, to become focused on “Why is this happening to ME?” when maybe something less desirable is really part us being players in a larger scenario. Or maybe it’s meant to push us in another (hopefully better) direction. I don’t know, but I try to remain open to the possibilities as much as I humanly can.
Funny too that you talked about focusing with determination on what you want versus what you have and maybe don’t want. “The Big Book of Birthdays” (I think that’s what it’s called) says people born on my birth date live our lives like we dwell in a beautiful castle, oblivious to the ruins and desolation around us. I’ve always been told this is a negative trait (“You’re too dreamy. Get a REAL job. Why would you want to live in that house?” etc.). But I think it’s a marvelous thing when it comes to practicing the LOA and being able to block out more negative stuff and focus on the positive.
I’ve pretty much given up social media for the time being (way too negative for me right now), but one site I love is Pinterest. I go on there everyday, create boards, and pin inspirational photos and quotes. I truly believe that if I can spend an hour in that energy of “I’m going to stay in this hotel in Paris one day,” or “In five years, I’m going to be living in Europe again,” you can’t help but bank that energy towards your LOA manifestations. I started doing that a couple of months ago, and an amazing solution to a huge problem in my life concerning work, time, and finances just fell into my lap! Other good things have happened too, so here’s to that momentum!
Thanks again, and have a wonderful weekend!
Hey Patricia
Thanks so much for your comment and sharing your experience. I am so happy you are enjoying the podcasts. I really love doing them. I totally agree that everything we experience holds the potential to aid us in some way, move us forward and expand our consciousness. Remaining open to the possibilities will serve you very well because there are so many possibilities of which our minds can’t even conceive and we can’t ever know exactly how things will turn out. Keep dwelling in that castle and keep ‘pinning’ your dream life! And that is awesome about that manifestations…sounds like things are going along nicely!
What a breath of fresh air. I appreciate your candor and frank manner of expression so very encouraging with the way you touch on the many foibles and ways that frustrate our attempting to experience better outcomes. So much easier relating and so encouraging to hear of your very interesting past and your present success. Very moving and inspired. Thank you.

Hi Earl
Thanks so much for your comment and I am glad my way of explaining things resonates with you. I like sharing my whole experience and not just the ‘wins’ because I think that helps people see what is possible for them too because it’s all possible, no matter where we may be starting from.
Yeah, the determined focus you mentioned. I think that’s a real sticking point for so many of us. It’s one of the toughest for me. Taking responsibility for focus and emotions is key. And so damn hard. Gratitude is hard at that point, but again a necessity. The mind can really be a bastard. Thank you for making these points so clear and fully explained.
Hey Corin
It is tough. The negative momentum can remain strong and it is easy to get caught up in what is and when things happen that we don’t like. Luckily we just have to aim for that positive emotion and focus being predominant not constant and things can move along nicely.
