Podcast #99: Shifting Energy is Like Exercise

Incorporating a teaching like the law of attraction into our ‘journey’ usually creates a lot of pressure to start feeling really good as quickly as possible. But just like it’s smart to start off slowly with exercise, it’s smart to make more gradual shifts in energy, rather than doing too much too fast.

  1. I love the word “genuine” for energy shifts. I actually injured myself working out too agressively because I was impatient with the incremental progress I was making. I have also had manic peaks followed by big dips when I try to force my vibration rather than laddering up. I have a couple big desires that haven’t manifested yet but if I use the measure of happiness instead I am exponentially better than when I started. I focus more now on my own alignment because that’s what attracts everything else. For me that means self-love and only doing what feels good. I also love your concept of stepping stone manifestations and I periodically write them down to remind myself of my progress.

    1. Hi Ruby
Thanks for your comment and sharing your insights. Its’ great you are noticing you are feeling better overall, even if certain things haven’t happened yet. The former is what you are really after anyway, and you are making strides there so the ‘work’ has been a great success. The specific things will come in some shape or form. It sounds like you are focusing on what really matters, and will lend to the real energy shifts, and reality must follow suit and reflect that energy back in some way.

  2. Thank you for this. It was a great reminder to not be discouraged about where I am currently vibrationally. It actually made me realize how far I had come. I had severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD – used to be unable to even get out of bed at all and now I am functional over 99% of the time and my attacks are usually over in about 10 minutes as opposed to DAYS. I may be on years of working on my vibe, but the genuine shifts have been worth it.

So now I am applauding my amazing progress instead of focusing on not being exactly where I want to be and am proud.

    1. Hi Luna
Thanks so much for your comment and I am glad you found the topic relevant. That is a huge leap and like you said, it is important to realize how far we have come. With this work, and personal development ‘work’ in general, it is easy to always focus on what still needs to be ‘fixed’ and what we haven’t accomplished yet and that doesn’t feel very good. We can only ever start where we are. You should be very proud of yourself and it sounds like you are doing great!
