  1. This was great, Kelli, thank you! I loved the real-time example of how you can’t control things via the needy pets.

I’ve had many life improvements that are very wanted but tinnitus is getting worse. So your podcast about the future CAN be different and this one about not having control, it’s been very insightful because why am I trying to control something that not even scientists or doctors can control?

It feels like I’m entering a new phase, making the connection about fear and control…if I truly can’t control, there’s no reason to be afraid. And let’s face it, it’s clear that I truly can’t control anything, otherwise, I would have already.

Manifesting was so attractive to me because it promised me what I truly wanted, which was control. But the outcome of all the internal work is leading me to giving up control, rather than bestowing it. It’s rather a bait and switch deal, the LOA journey.

    Thank you again!

    1. Hi JoJo
So glad you enjoyed the podcast and I really enjoyed reading your comment…so insightful and I can tell you have really been going within to see the link between the two. Yes…if we really could control things we probably would have cracked that code by now! It’s kind of good we can’t because we would not learn things that are really helpful for us to learn if we could just make certain situations go away because ego mind doesn’t like them; we would also really be selling ourselves short a lot and probably always getting things we actually don’t really want but wouldn’t get the chance to discover such.

Health issues are challenging because it is very hard sometimes to look beyond what is happening in the body because we identify so strongly as it being ‘us.’ Physical discomfort in any form is very distracting. One teaching that helped me a lot was ‘A Course in Miracles’ because it teaches the body is merely a projection of the mind, meaning ‘mind’ is the true level of cause and the body cannot act independently, it cannot create its own illness. The most interesting thing about this point of view is that it would mean there are no such thing as specific illnesses because they are all coming from the same place–the mind. They are not originating in a particular body part, etc… This point of view can be particularly helpful when we are dealing with a condition that appears to have no treatment, when we have symptoms that cannot be diagnosed, when available treatments don’t appear to work. The condition itself is a manifestation of something in the mind. There are more elements to this but wanted to give you the ‘gist’ of a potential perspective that might be resonant.
