  1. Hi Kelli very powerful stuff. Indeed most books and techniques, like letting go of negative emotions, are about the symptoms and not the actual root of the problems. And the actual root, if I understand correctly, is our mind, which is to say our ego. And instead of choosing ego-based thoughts and beliefs, choose Higher Self-based thoughts and beliefs.

In a practical level, if we wanted to do this with a big problem many people are facing right now in the planet, which is money, and the lack of it.

Let’s say I buy some stuff and we have all the negative emotions related to not enough money. We use a technique and we let go of negative emotions. But the same problem will probably persist because our beliefs about money haven’t changed. So we have to go within and examine what our ego says about our financial situation and maybe choose to tell a different story, even if our current one is way different. Then we insist on our new story about money until our external circumstances change to reflect that. I just wanted to give an example on how to practically do this in our day to day life, I hope I understood the concept correctly.

  2. Thank you so much for this post.
    It got me thinking.
I understand that the mind is very dysfunctional and not to listen to its chatter however…
yesterday at work I had a whinge to another coworker. An issue arose and I felt the need to discuss / whinge with her about it. My thoughts were spinning around and the whinge helped. So I guess at the time, I wasn’t feeling all that happy or positive or enthusiatic and did feel the need to vent, to share with someone else my concerns and feelings about a situation. My work life is definitely something I want to change.
I guess a certain level of getting things off ones chest is OK…but probably not to dwell on it.
    Thanks so much.

    1. Hi Joanne
A good old vent can be helpful…if it made you feel better then it certainly wasn’t a ‘bad’ thing. Like you said, it is just being aware of what’s happening inside and seeing how we can change situations we don’t like.
