  1. Hey Kelli, 🙂

im listening and reading your podcasts for a long time and i do really like the way you think and see the things. A big Thank You !
I would like to ask you something….

Right now im in period of my life where i fell deep deep pain, resistance and anger. I took actions to examine whats going on within me…( they DONT feel good cuz im realizing painful truths and facts about myself and the reasons for those feelings )…..the problem is that they are so strong and deep… that right now I feel like ALL of my actions are taken from a space just to minimize these feelings , this pain…If we should not take any actions from this space….,then what do we have to do with that pain? Should we concentrate and look for a ways to cope with it and remove it on deep level or we have to look for actions that really feels enjoyable for us? Or i guess we have to find the balance here? 🙂

    Kind regards,

    Sandy

    1. Hi Sandy
At the deepest core, our motivation will always be making the pain go away. That’s fine. But predominantly we want to focus on creating positive emotion rather than getting rid of the ‘negative’ emotion. To our mind this seems like two sides of the same coin, but on an emotional/energetic level, these are very different goals and will look very different. Don’t keep seeing ‘action’ and ‘doing’ as the key to getting rid of feelings…this world is not one of action. The only reason this becomes such a sticking point for us is we’re likely not really truly letting ourselves feel the feelings…we’re still looking to something outside of us to take care of them for us.

  2. So basically the aim is to feel wholeness in this present moment. Once we feel this wholeness we feel like we don’t need anything anymore.

I have been struggling with depression for the past five years. It was really bad in the beginning but I am better now. Some days are tough but after a good night’s sleep I am able to reset every morning and continue on. My aim hasn’t been recovery to be honest. I wasn’t expecting to get better. It feels like I spontaneously got better. This is a meaningful manifestation.

    1. Hi JR

Thanks for your comment and sharing your experience. Having dealt with depression, I know how challenging it can be and how easy it is to think we’ll never get better. It creates a particularly bleak filter through which we see our experience and ourselves. Sounds like you have found ways, like good sleep, to help yourself feel better…keep making that self-care a priority and you’ll keep moving forward. 3. Hi Kelli,

Thank You very much for the answer. I felt a little bit more relieved. Yes sitting with , hearing, accepting and letting go of our negative emotions for me personally is quite important step in the personal growth…..which I think have to be combined with exactly what you’re suggesting here ….find a way to create genuine positive feelings 🙂
