Vibing High: 3 Ways to Keep Your Attraction Magnet Strong

It wasn’t until I started consciously tuning into my thoughts and feelings that I realized the full impact they had on my experience. I am not talking about how it affected my mood, interactions with others or anything else in my day to day existence.

I am talking about deeper, profound changes in my life. I am talking about attracting people and situations that were highly beneficial for getting the things I had firmly decided I wanted in my experience. So many situations just seemed to line up perfectly, with very little effort on my part; well, the type of effort we normally think of when it comes to achieving goals. I put plenty of effort into improving my mental state, that’s for sure.

Based on my own experiences, I can say without a doubt that simply feeling good can bring good into your life. Believe certain things will come to you ( without strong attachments to how) and they will. Listen to your intuition, and take inspired action, and those actions will help you line up with what you want.

If you are a bit new to the attracting game, this may seem a bit too good to be true, or perhaps, naive. It defies logic, and is certainly not in line with the generally dour outlook that has been bred into most of us since we were wee lads and lassies.It is something that cant be proven, in a science-ey, double blind placebo kind of way. My experience is proof enough for me, however.

Logical thinking, and only trusting something proven surely has its place in this world, but there is so much that happens that we can’t explain, that we don’t understand.  If you let logic and ”proof” rule your life, boy are you missing out on some good stuff..that is all I have to say.  So, if you are at least a little intrigued, be open and give it a go.

So, how do we raise our vibration? How do we position ourselves into that ”attraction sweet spot” where our desires will come hurtling towards us? Well, the answer is pretty simple actually. Any action that makes you feel good will fit the bill. But, certain ones may be a bit more powerful in setting your intentions and really charging up your attraction magnet. Here are a few that have worked pretty well for me personally.

Write a Thank You Letter to the Universe

Whenever I am feeling a particular pull to attract something, or I may be feeling a bit worried about a certain situation, this little exercise always makes me feel good. You can do it anytime, but I particularly enjoy doing it in the morning after I meditate.

It is pretty simple:

Dear Universe (Or God, or whatever you like to call ”source”)

Thank you for XXXXXXX. Write out everything you are working towards, but written in the present tense as if you already have it. Include every last little thing you want.Don’t leave out any details important to the manifestation. Then I usually like to give thanks for some general stuff, like always providing me what what I need, always giving me what I ask for or better…you get the gist. Try to do this everyday.

Write Out a Gratitude List

Most of us are ungrateful tools a good deal of the time (myself included); not because we are terrible people, but because we are just so used to all the good things in our life, we totally take them for granted because this relatively cushy reality is the only one we have ever known. Lucky for us, we have never experienced a fraction of the suffering some people go through in this world, and we just have no idea how fortunate we are.

When things happen that we don’t like, or cause adverse conditions, it is very easy to put all our focus on that–negative emotions have a strong pull and it doesn’t take much effort to put our attention on what is missing in our life, and what we don’t like about it.

This is not to say you shouldn’t be upset about getting dumped or losing your job because hey, at least you are not being brutalized by a warlord, or forced to walk 10 miles for clean water. Maybe thinking about your great friends and family won’t totally pull you out of the funk after getting laid off, but it is important to always keep an eye on the good in our life, no matter what bad things we may be experiencing. It is important to keep perspective on our problems so they don’t swallow us whole.

If you want to attract more into your life, you must learn to truly feel grateful for the good things you already have.  Sincere gratitude creates an energy that aligns us with that wonderful, mysterious force that helps bring us what we want. Write out a list in the morning to get yourself in a good mental space right at the start of the day. You will be getting things off on the right foot ”energetically.”

Feed Your Brain  Empowering Information

There is a lot of programming in your mind that is totally out of line with this way of thinking. It can take awhile to really begin to change our thought patterns, and actually believe any of this is possible. Our pesky little egos will want to hold onto the old way of life, at all costs.

Plenty is going to happen that will have you doubting all this stuff, whether it be a snide comment from a friend, or a situation that does not work out as you hoped (remember what I said earlier–don’t get attached to specific outcomes.) Just like you need to keep practicing an instrument to excel at playing it, you need to keep exposing yourself to this way of thinking to get better at thinking this way. Read books or blog posts. Watch videos on Youtube. Download audio programs. It is your best defense against any limiting, negative or self-sabotaging beliefs you may harbor now. Some sources will resonate more with you than others–find what vibes with you, and devour it.

    I had a huge struggle getting the gratitude thing down. As you saw firsthand, running into a serious illness finally woke me up to where I do the gratitude list thing on waking each and every day.

    I may not be the most grateful guy on the planet, yet here I am at 11:55 PM after being up since 4 AM…..long visa run in the books….grateful to see such wisdom, and a wonderful post, and a wonderful blog.

    Really, when you feel grateful, you’ll be stupified by how quickly awesome things move into your life. You see good, feel good and naturally, become a magnet to good things in all forms.

      Yes, for most of us, it really takes something bad to happen to make those kind of shifts, which is why sometimes those bad things are not so bad. And you are right, the energy shift that comes along with gratitude is amazing.

    I never really thought about gratitude in that way before and like RB I myself am sure not as grateful for what I have as I should be yet here I am writing this comment at 2.36 gmt having become grateful for reading this inspiring post!

    Tell me when you write a letter is it the old fashioned way with pen and paper or the usual lappy? I would be interested to know is all!

I think we all struggle with the gratitude thing… we are just so used to things being a certain way, we don’t realize how good we have it. When it comes to the letter, I personally prefer the old fashioned way of a pen and paper…it just feels better to me, like I am connecting more with what I am writing, but I think a laptop would work fine too. It is all about the energy behind the act.
