Where’s My Stuff Already? Dealing with LOA Impatience and Doubt

Chances are, your interest in LOA stemmed from something, or many things, in your life not being quite to your liking. You wanted to turn things around, and you realized that you needed to take a more active role. It became painfully obvious your mindset, and belief system, were not really serving you, and in need of a major overhaul. You didn’t want to believe life is meant to be generally sucky, and only lightly peppered with some of the good stuff.

So, you come across LOA, and it is a drastic departure from how you were probably thinking. Something about it resonated with you; it made you feel hopeful that you could improve your life. The idea we have so much control over our experience can be empowering, and feeling empowered is a great thing for initiating positive change.

So, you ingested all this wonderful information, and started doing all the things it is recommended you do to attract the things you want into your life. And, things are going great for a bit—you have some experiences that validate the truth of this concept, and you push forward. But, then you may hit a bit of a rough patch; or, things aren’t happening as fast as you want them to, and you start getting really pissed off, impatient, and worst of all, doubtful.

You start losing a bit of LOA steam. You start wondering if this is all a bunch of bull. Your logical brain goes into overdrive, and the cynicism and skepticism wash over you. You feel pretty low, and disillusioned.

You start worrying that you will never get what you want. Ugh…I know this situation all too well, because I have experienced it firsthand, and it sucks big time. And, as someone who is not an expert level manifestor, still experience this at times.

But, I am here to tell you to hang in there. It is not bull. My work with LOA changed my life. And as I get better at truly understanding how it works, and knowing things on an emotional level, and not just intellectually, I see things happening at a more rapid rate, and it’s awesome.

So, if you are in the midst of some LOA doubt and/ or impatience, here are my tips for getting your manifesting mojo back:

Think Back to Your ‘Wins’

We don’t start buying into a belief unless we have experiences that seem to validate it. I imagine anyone reading this is not feeling this way because she is not a billionaire 72 hours after reading ‘The Secret’ or some blog post about LOA.

Chances are, you have experienced some cool stuff since engaging in conscious creation, and believe that there is something to all this. So, when you are feeling a little peeved at the Universe, think back to your LOA ‘wins.’

The process of attracting is the same, no matter what it is you are trying to acquire, so if you got stuff in the past (whether big or small), you can get whatever it is you are currently seeking. This will make you feel better, and you know you will get your desired result.

For me personally, this tip is the most powerful when I feel a bit impatient and doubtful. Thinking back to my ‘wins’ invigorates my efforts, and most importantly, it makes me feel better, and we all know how important that is to the equation.

Turn Your Attention to What You Do Have

This is something that has come up a few other times in my LOA posts because it is a crucial piece of the attracting puzzle, and the importance of gratitude cannot be understated. Remember LOA is all about how we feel, and we attract situations that match these feelings.

So, to create greater abundance of in our lives, whether financial or whatever else, we have to feel abundant now. If you want more in your life, you have to be grateful for what you already have. Gratitude will make you feel good, and the more we feel good, the faster the stuff we want comes to us.

Focusing on what we lack makes us feel lack, and this is not the type of energy that will bring ‘stuff’ into your life. This slows the process. It can be a challenge, I know. It is really easy, and takes very little mental energy, to conjure up negative feelings and thoughts. Negative emotions are really powerful, and overriding them can tax our brains a bit, but this work must be done.

We take the good stuff for granted, and don’t appreciate all we have—this isn’t because we are horrible people, it is simply a product of being born into a certain environment. Perspective is everything, and you can learn to look at all these ‘little’ things in a new light, a light that makes you truly appreciate you have them.

Gratitude produces an energy that can open up your receiving channels, and allows all sorts of awesomeness to flood into your experience.

Where Are You Still Stuck?

If you feel things aren’t happening for you, it is important to see where you still may be ‘stuck.’ Visualize whatever it is that you are trying to attract. I’ll bet that the experience is not all warm and fuzzy—it probably feels a bit uncomfortable.

This is because you have limiting beliefs around this desire—all the reasons why you doubt you can get it are expressing themselves through these bad feelings. Sit with this a minute, and identify these beliefs. And don’t worry, you don’t have to root them out completely to move forward—you just have to feel good more than you are feeling badly, though we do want to eventually get to a point where we feel these beliefs have been squashed to a bloody pulp.

Another problem may be our oh-so-helpful tendency to control everything, and figure out ‘how.’ We think of what we want, and are convinced it can only come to us through certain channels. And, this can be a really big barrier to detaching on outcomes, and letting our good energy flow freely. It creates a block within us, and what we want can’t come to us because we are not fully open.

These are just a couple of examples. Since this is all about how we feel, it won’t be that hard to zero in on the issues you are having personally. So, sit with yourself a bit, and see where things may be a bit off, and refresh your mind with the helpful information that got you into this wonderful mess in the first place.

Realize This is a Work in Progress

Based on my own experience, the power we have to shape our reality is greater than we know, and I still have my blocks, etc…but I am working on them. After years and years of ingesting, and internalizing, beliefs that would tell you this is all a bunch of hooey, you probably won’t transition to a master manifestor within a week.

Some of the situations you manifest are not meant to be the end result of your desire—they are just pieces of the puzzle that help move you forward. So, let everything unfold as it will, and see where it takes you. That feeling of openness will serve you very well in this work. Your experiences will help you fine-tune your desires, and increase your clarity.

Sometimes you may have noticed you have attracted things, but they are not exactly what you wanted—this doesn’t mean you can’t have what you want, it simply is a reflection of where your vibration is right now, and what you are allowing in based on what you think is possible, etc…These ‘almost’ manifestations are showing this stuff is working, and they are valuable tools for shifting your energy, and keeping on target.

As you go along in this LOA journey, you will become more confident about this way of thinking—you will feel this truth emotionally and not just intellectually. You will expand your desires, as you probably have limited yourself a bit on what you want, and think is possible for you. You will start feeling better and better, and receiving things bigger and better than you are imagining now.

Hope you enjoyed my musings on this topic, and that what I wrote here inspired you to keep on ‘trucking.’ Don’t give up on this stuff, it’s golden.

  1. Great post, Kelly. We want things and we want them now, am I right? We want it within a certain time frame at least, and when that doesn’t happen, we doubt. When I look back on things that I have manifested, I realize that in come cases it took years to get it. I only got it when the time was right, or circumstances beyond my control (and not to my liking) fell into place.

I really, REALLY mean it when I tell people, “Be careful what you wish for.” You may not like the journey you have to take to get there. Oh, the stories I could tell …

    Thanks Kelly.

    1. Hey Jeanne
Thanks so much..so glad you liked it. The timeframe thing is a tough one because we often feel like we need certain things by a certain time and it can be hard to detach, but it is necessary. I am getting better at it. Like you said, certain things can take longer, especially bigger things that need to naturally unfold over time, and require multiple ‘pieces’ to fall into place. The last part of your comment is so interesting because I never really thought about it in that way..I always thought of the actual thing you get, but you are so right about the journey to getting it as well.

  2. Kelli, well said as always. Letting go, being grateful and trusting helps you notice what you have, not what you don’t have. Such a quick and simple way to deal with your impatience. Smiling and laughing a bunch helps too. Thanks so much for the share.

    1. Thanks so much RB. That shift to what is already present does work wonders, we just need to consciously practice because it often doesn’t come naturally.

  3. Perspective IS everything! I learned that during coaching classes. I have a kiddo with special needs and I have learned the hard way what it takes to “get” what I want and be greatful for what I do have.

    1. Hi Jenn
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. It really is, isn’t it? We can get so deep into a way of looking at things, that we don’t even realize there is that choice. I am getting better at shifting when I feel myself going down the wrong path. I imagine a situation like that can be very eye-opening, and you have learned some amazing lessons that have improved your life tremendously, even in the face of challenging circumstances. Sending good vibes to you 🙂
