When I was thinking of what to write about in this post, I asked myself to write down three things I felt really helped me start attracting with greater ease, and these are the nuggets that popped into my mind first. So, I’ll just get right to it…enjoy!
Let Go of What Doesn’t Feel Easy or Right
When our energy is aligned with what we want, and we are feeling fine and dandy as everything stands now, things come together very easily. Very little input is required from us, though, this is something that everyone struggles with when it comes to working with LOA. This whole receiving- without- a- whole- lot- of- doing sounds good in theory, and we may have even seen this happen in our own lives with certain manifestations, but we just don’t fully trust it. It just can’t be that easy.
So, we still try to figure out the ‘how’ and determine there are only a limited number of options—our minds are really great at convincing us if they can’t conceive of a possibility it must not exist. We decide our manifestation must look a certain way for us to feel satisfied we have gotten what we wanted. Possible channels open up to us, and we get really attached to them as being the vehicle of delivery.
And because of all of this happening, we work on manipulating circumstances, and trying to control situations. We take a whole lot of action that doesn’t feel good. Something doesn’t seem to be coming together, and instead of releasing on it, we keep trying to ‘fix it’ because we have decided that this thing has to ‘work out,’ or that it is a necessary component of getting what we want. Something doesn’t feel right, but we proceed anyway, ignoring our intuition.
This is something we really want to stop doing because it is just slowing things down big time. Let go of what doesn’t feel easy or right. If something is turning out to be big hassle, release on it and set your sights elsewhere. Don’t keep trying to force a certain situation to turn out a certain way.
So, if that client you are determined you must get to be successful, keeps cancelling your appointments, and you feel like you are constantly chasing him to set a new one, let him go. You don’t need him…there are plenty of other clients who can come into your orbit and will happily give you business if you trust they will. This shift in energy may also bring him right to you without you having to do a thing—but again, remember you don’t need this particular person.
If you have decided you must pursue a particular type of marketing strategy, lest your business will fail if you don’t, but it is really dragging you down, it seems too difficult, or you find no enjoyment in it, give it up, and opt for something you actually like doing. You would be amazed at how much you can grow a business by simply doing things that come from a place of inspiration and feel good. It doesn’t have to be all suffering and hard work, only to see the rewards after prolonged periods of toil.
If you contact someone for a particular product or service, and you don’t hear back, contact someone else. If you are looking to hire someone to perform a certain job for you, for your house, business or whatever, and someone doesn’t feel right, go with someone else.
Let go of what doesn’t feel easy and right….trust what you want and need will come in some other way because it certainly will.
Set Intentions for Your Life, Not Just ‘Stuff.’
Intentions are very powerful, and setting them is an important part of shifting energy and manifesting whatever it is you want. This is something you are already doing to some degree if you are consciously working with law of attraction because you have decided you want certain things, and are trying to line up your energy with them. But, what I am talking about here is more general intentions for the type of life you want to have and the type of person you want to be, not the specific things you want to manifest, like a new job, money or a relationship.
What you want goes way beyond these actual desires. You want certain feelings, you want a particular type of life and way of being. Digging a bit deeper to identify said feelings, and ways of being, will allow you to create a much richer, satisfying life. Because I’ll tell you right now– as much as you may want whatever it is you want, I guarantee you it won’t make you as happy as you think.
Nothing outside of us can ever truly make us happy. When you put your attention here, and get a clearer idea of these ‘broader strokes,’ you will attract inspirations, ideas, tools people and what have you, that will help you step into all of this. This is where the real happiness will come from.
When you set these broader intentions, it will become clear there are tons of things you can start doing right now to feel better, and step into the emotions that lie behind your more specific desires. And, we all know we attract based on our current vibration, so we have to do whatever we can to feel like we already have whatever it is we want. And the better you feel now, the easier it will be to detach from what you hope to manifest because you will no longer feel like you can’t feel better until you have it.
A lack of these types of intentions makes for an unsatisfying and unhappy life because without these anchors, we float around , getting knocked around by outside circumstances. We are not an active participant in what is being created and we let life just happen to us. We are passive, and just spend our days reacting to everything. We lament we have no control, and this is a really bad place to be. It is a very disempowering belief that is simply not true.
So, who do you want to be? What do you want your life to be like? What feelings are most desirable to you? Think of the bigger picture.
What Practical Steps Can You Take to Simplify Your Work with LOA?
Regardless of what your life is like now, you can turn it into whatever you want it to be simply by changing your thoughts, feelings and energy. But, let’s face it. This whole attraction thing just seems too easy and too good to be true. Like I mentioned before, we can have a hard time fully trusting the process, even when we have seen proof of it in our own experience at one time or another.
Our limiting beliefs are really strong, and we have a lot of ‘proof’ they are true, based on things that have happened to us up until this point. We get LOA in theory, and there is this part of us that just knows there is something to it, but we just can’t get on board fully.
We may have a lot working against us, and this can slow things down a bit. It’s okay if we are struggling some. After all, we have been living in a fog for a long time, and this new reality can take some getting used to. Realizing how much power we have is a bit daunting. So, we want to do all we can to make it as easy as possible to start rooting out our limiting beliefs, shifting our energy, and gaining some positive momentum behind the ‘good stuff.’
We want to take practical steps that will start making us feel better now. The more we reduce the anxiety, fear and stress we have now, and modify situations that feed into our limiting beliefs, the easier it will be to work on our energy. The more ‘stuff’ that is bothering us, the more it will feel like we are trying to swim against the current.
Let’s say you are trying to attract more money for example. If you have a lot of anxiety around money, this is not an easy manifestation. For ultimate attraction ease, it would be a good idea to see what you could do right now to help yourself feel better about your financial situation. If you have absolutely zero savings, make a budget and decide how much you can start putting in there. Even if it isn’t a lot, the fact you are doing something will start to make you feel better.
Do you have any expenses you can reduce or completely eliminate—like, do you really need the cable package that gives you 600 channels? Seriously, how much TV can you watch? If you are behind on your bills, and you have been avoiding the creditors, it would be a good idea to call them, and set up a payment plan, even if it is just 20 bucks a month.
Now, I bet a lot of you may be wondering…aren’t I sending the Universe a message I don’t think I can get more money if I do things like set budgets, admit I am struggling financially, or try to cut my expenses?
And the answer is no because we don’t attract based on the actions we take, or the things we say. We attract based on feeling, and if you are feeling really badly about your money situation, you will just get more of the same.
Doing things like this will make you feel better, thus creating an energy that makes you more magnetic to money rather than one that repels it. When you no longer have to duck calls from the creditors, have a bit of cushion to deal with an unexpected expense, and fewer bills to pay, you will feel a hell of a lot better about money. You will be able to feel more abundant naturally, instead of trying to force it, despite what your outside circumstances portray.
Because even though what is happening now has no bearing on what is possible, and means nothing because all we need to do is shift energy to shift our outside experience, really feeling this is hard when things kind of suck in the moment.
What are you trying to attract into your life right now, and what is making that harder for you? What is grabbing at your attention, and feeding into your limiting beliefs, and keeping your energy stuck where it is? What practical steps can you take to alleviate these concerns, and clear some space for the good energy and beliefs?
Hope you enjoyed this post, and got a bit more to work with in your manifesting efforts to make things a bit easier for you.
Your Turn…
So, what did you think of the post? Did it bring to mind anything relevant to your own work with LOA? What resonated with you the most? Are you holding onto anything that doesn’t feel easy and right, and are you ready to let it go? Do you have any tips that really helped you start manifesting more easily, and made it easier to feel good? Looking forward to your thoughts so we can have a chat!

Hi, Kelli,
I loved when you talked about “set intentions for your life”.
I’m good about setting intentions but it is usually for goals and not for my life. This really helps me – thanks for sharing this today at the beginning of a month when we are so busy with the holiday “stuff”.
Sue
Hi Sue Ann
Thanks so much for your comment and so glad you liked the post. I too like many of us get focused on the specific goals and that is cool too but when I started making it a point to think of that bigger picture I felt better and things came together more easily. Have a great week!
Wow… This article is exactly what I’ve been feeling about controlling outcomes lately. I find that going with the path of least resistance is so much easier and fun. And that fighting with is not so much fun but it is always great to hear reminders. Your post is conformation that what I’ve been feeling is right. Thank You!
Hi Kirby. Thanks for your comment…so glad you found the post helpful. We are so conditioned to take control letting go can be a bit painful!those reminders are always helpful to help us recondition our minds. Good luck!
Hi KC,
I dig the point you made: we want a feeling above all else. I have tried to manipulate circumstances to get things, rushing my way through the day, and it sucks. I have also let go, to do good-feeling things, not forcing (most of the time), and feeling my way through the day. This feels better and since I detach from outcomes a bit more using this approach, neater outcomes manifest for me.
You saw firsthand how my blog came into form. I was….ummmm…kinda confused by the initial direction of the manifestation but flowed with it. I thought seeing my old blog down as being a “bad thing” and initially got all hissy fitty and bitchy with my hosting company, trying to do the manipulation thing to get it back up, then the Universe slapped me upside the head with my new blog idea, and despite feeling terribly uncomfortable about it, I trashed my old blog to start my new one, and never looked back.
I kinda think I didn’t make a mistake 😉 Unless a growing number of folks hate learning about how to blog from paradise, lol.
Thanks KC for your monumental manifesting tips. You’re crafting quite the law of attraction resource here for folks who want to truly live their life made to order!
Ryan
Hi Ryan
Thank you for sharing your experience. Your experience with letting go of your old blog is a perfect example of my first point…it would have been easy to hold on because of all the time invested, but you had faith in the process and let go of what no longer felt right. And, the results have been nothing short of amazing..it really is all about how we feel.
I like that, you don’t need that person (or whatever) but if it works out great. That really takes a lot of stress and concern off of it. Then you can focus on something else and make more happen.
I can connect with the idea of letting go of something that doesn’t feel right. Sometimes the hardest thing is figuring out when to let go and when to grab tighter but emotional guidance can help sort it out.

Hi Lea
Thanks so much for your comment. When we are able to detach from the idea that one person or thing is a necessary part of the equation for getting something we want, you are so right about that…it really takes a load off. It can be easier said than done sometimes, but when we can get into that space genuinely, even if just a bit at a time, we can open the doors to so much awesomeness. You are right about that..knowing when to release and when to hold on can be tricky, and even more so, the more important the issue is to us for whatever reason. Like you said, our emotions are a great guide and ultimately, we will know what to do, even if that solution is the less appealing one, we know it is right.
Hey Kelli,
I have definitely set intentions for my life. I have a vision statement I created earlier this year that I read out loud every single morning before starting my day. I read it with passion, conviction and excitement. I can just see the things coming into play for me and a few of them have and I’ve already marked them off my list.
You are right that nothing outside ourselves can ever make us happy. I also learned that a very long time ago. I tell people that I’m very selfish and most of the people I know don’t look at me that way. But what I mean by that is if I’m not happy then how can I contribute to those around me’s happiness. So I do come first and there is definitely nothing wrong with that.
It’s taken me a very long time but I’m getting this LOA thing down finally. I still have my moments when I would of course like to rush things. After I have my disappointing moment I take a deep breath and tell myself that it will show up when it’s suppose to and I have no control over that. Just give it up and let it go. What will be will be. Not fun sometimes but boy it’s taken a load off me.
As always great advice and thanks for sharing these three things that have helped you accelerate your manifesting mojo. I love that phrase by the way. 😉
Thanks again and take care. Have a great week.
~Adrienne
Hey Adrienne
That is great to hear, and I love that idea of creating a vision statement that is read out loud each day. I think I am going to make one as well…thanks for the inspiration! I’m very ‘selfish’ in that way as well and I agree with you 100 percent that taking care of ourselves is the best way to be of best ‘use’ to others. It is easy to give a lot of lip service to self-care but then totally neglect ourselves out of a sense of guilt or thinking we are being too ‘indulgent.’ The great thing about working consciously with the process of LOA is we realize we are always moving towards what we want, and there are great lessons in those disappointing moments that can help us figure out where we may be holding energy we want to work on shifting, and to finetune what we want. SO glad you liked the post!
Kelli,
It always feels good to let go of the “non fun” things, doesn’t it? I hired a virtual assistant about a year ago to take care of all the mundane tasks I don’t enjoy doing and I find them worth every penny for that very reason.
And I also totally agree about shooting for things you want to feel and be rather than stuff you want to have. The feelings are better motivators for sure, and easier to control.
I was thinking of you in my most recent post about auditions, it’s very LOA-ish (although you’re the expert, you’ll have to let me know if I got it right). I definitely apply LOA principles the most when it comes to auditions these days.
Where in the world are you two these days? I can’t keep track.
Brittany
Hey Brittany
Just read the post and loved it…you gave some excellent advice on getting the energy in a good place, and that is where all the magic happens. It does feel quite good, and that sounds like a move that probably freed up a lot of your time and energy for more preferred pursuits…can’t ever go wrong with making more time for the good stuff. You make an excellent point about having more control over our feelings rather than whatever it is we are hoping to bring into our experience.
We are actually back in the US..New Jersey. Great to see everyone, but not loving the weather!
Hi Kelly,
I wish I had learn how to not force things and let go, 20 years ago (at least), but in my case, the knowledge of the LOA came much later. Actually only 8 and half years ago. But once I learned about it, oh boy did it started to change my life.
I totally agree that forcing things is not the way to go. As a matter of fact, I believe that it actually pushes good things away, rather than bringing them in. When I think of some past events of my life, I can clearly see how I pushed things and people away, because I was forcing outcomes. I was not letting go.
As you said, I think that there are still a lot of people who know the law of attraction concept, but they have yet to practice it fully and let it lead their life. I know because that’s what happened to me too at first. I knew this thing was true, but I was forgetting to let it happen. Let go. And trust.
Today I’m a whole new person, and I can see, feel and get daily proofs that I am doing so much better than I was even 5 years ago. That’s because I am so much more letting go now. I trust and I know that what I want will happen.
Thank you for the great post 🙂 Will be sharing.
Hi Sylviane
Thanks so much for sharing your experience and I am so glad you liked the post. I know what you mean about wishing we had started doing or learned things earlier in life, but I guess everything unfolds as it should, and we discover new truths and ways of being at the ‘perfect’ time. I have gotten better at letting things go and have been working on the whole ‘surrender’ thing more diligently and interestingly enough, I feel I have attracted opportunities to allow me to do this..I suppose the only way to get better at doing this is finding ourselves in situations that allow us to make that decision. Sounds like you have really integrated the concept into your life and have seen great changes…I can definitely say the same for myself. That trust is key..not always easy but as we let more of it in, it becomes easier as we get more and more proof this is the way to go.
Wow! Thanks Kelli. I really enjoy your blog because you offer a wealth of information for fine-tuning LOA. A light bulb went off when I read: ” we don’t attract based on the actions we take, or the things we say. We attract based on feeling, and if you are feeling really badly about your money situation, you will just get more of the same”. Well meaning teachers of LOA make comments like “act as if you already have what you desire”, the action is only powerful if your feelings match. Splurging on something when you are feeling poor will do nothing to improve your financial situation. This also explains why people with money are good at attracting more money, and how those with light bank accounts but a feeling of abundance will attract more abundance! I hope you continue blogging. You are very good at tackling and clarifying the more subtle points of LOA .
Hi Belle
Thanks so much, I am so glad you enjoy the blog and find it helpful for your work with LOA. Like you said, there can be some more subtle points that we need to tackle to get into that state of allowing more. The process itself is painfully simple but if there is resistance, which pretty much everyone is going to have, we have to do some work on that to get it out of the way. You are so right about our actions only being powerful if there is the feeling behind them. We just need to be patient with ourselves as we work on building the momentum behind the LOA ‘friendly’ energies. It is essentially looking at reality in a whole different way, and that is not something that will happen immediately but more gradually. But, as we all see, that doesn’t mean having to wait around a long time to start getting the goods. Things can start improving rather quickly.
Good Stuff!!!
I noticed something very fascinating while I was talking to a good friend of mine. All she could talk about was money and her career and she always talked about it with a sense of urgency and desperation. I, on the other hand, was not very interested in discussing those matters, not because I didn’t care but I just rarely worried about either of those things. In contrast, I was always talking to her about my love life and issues with relationships with a sense of urgency and desperation, she however, never talked about love life. In fact, I can’t recall her ever really having too many issues with her love life.
Then I thought about it… I rarely thought or talked about money or my career yet opportunities just kind of fell into my lap. I easily got good jobs and promotions with very little effort. Also, I was always sure that things in my career would work out. But I could always feel her insecurities about her career and money situations.
In contrast, she has always been in stable relationships. She rarely ever thinks about men yet someone she always ends up in relationships. In fact, she barely even wants them half the time yet men are begging to commit to her. I, on the other hand, have not had much luck in the love department at all. Not nearly as much luck as she has. I have always desperately wanted love and a family.
I thought to myself…WOW! How is it that I barely care about my career and money yet those things come easily to me but I really want love and a family and I can’t seem to get them? And how is it that my friend, who never really cared about having a family, now has a husband and a child, yet she desperately cares about her career and money but she doesn’t do well with getting those things?
At first I thought, maybe not wanting things helps you get them. But that isn’t true. Desperation is what keeps you away from your manifestations. And thinking that its hard to obtain keeps you away from what you want.
It was during that conversation that I realized that I talk and feel about love the same way she talks and feels about money and vice versa. And as a result, I have money with no love and she has love with no money, hahaha.
So I am working on thinking about love in the same way that I think about work and money, which means….letting go of the idea that love is hard and embracing the fact that it easy and will definitely happen.
Hey August
Thanks so much for your comment and I am so glad you enjoyed the post. That story is a perfect example of the lack of resistance being the key in getting something. Like you said, for each of you, that particular issue was never something that you thought much about or actively felt like you wanted or needed to happen. You are so right it is not about not wanting…we want things and it’s fine and pretending we don’t is just denial. That sense of need is definitely the issue because that energy screams…I don’t have this thing and noticing the absence makes it hard to get in alignment. You are so right that finding love is not hard and it will certainly happen. I met my husband shortly after releasing some energies and gaining some more clarity on what I wanted, but I did very little ‘work’ on this manifestation. It happened very easily so I speak from experience on that one. Good luck and keep me posted!
