Podcast #46: Law of Attraction: Are You Giving Your Energy the Support It Needs?

Harnessing the power of the law of attraction isn’t about all the ‘tools,’ it is about changing who we are at the core. It is about moving through the world differently. It is about our habits, behaviors and decisions.

If you want to manifest with greater ease, and achieve the ultimate goal, which is to feel better–that is all we want at the end of the day–we must pay more attention to how we are supporting our energy in our day to day life. We have to be more consciously engaged so we can break free from the well-worn patterns that aren’t serving us.

  1. Ok so can you clarify…”Cultivating/nurturing our energy..” Would that mean that there will eventually come a time that just simply acknowledging that our circumstances CAN change/be different isn’t enough? I ask because it seems when one has never had financial abundance it would be difficult to cultivate the energy surrounding those circumstances.. unless that energy would look like not going on that shopping spree, nice dinner out, being thankful for what one DOES have. As usual, good podcast. Thanks in advance.

    1. Hey Kameron
Thanks for your comment and question. No, that acknowledgement and that work on our energy is paramount and that is all we need to do to get things moving in the right direction. But as far as actually living the life we want to live, and becoming the person we want to be, that will usually require some sort of ‘action’ in our day to day life.

How we live our life and the choices we make are a reflection of our energy, and acting in that way strengthens the energy. For example, someone who wants to improve their self-esteem and love themselves more and happens to be in a relationship with someone who treats them like crap may need to make the first move and end the relationship. She couldn’t truly nurture an energy of self-love by remaining with that person.

If someone wants to trust that they can get what they want, and let the Universe ‘help’ them, they need to find the courage to say no to what they don’t want, to walk away from situations that don’t serve them. For example, someone getting rid of a client that is a pain in the ass knowing they can get a better client, or saying no to an opportunity that they know isn’t right for them and will make them unhappy, but is tempting because it will pay a lot of money, but has the ‘courage’ to turn it down because they trust it is possible to find an opportunity that makes them happy and it is lucrative. They realize they don’t have to compromise.

You are right it can be challenging to cultivate energies if we haven’t had the experiences in our own life. But we can cultivate feelings anytime and through means like imagination and visualization. We can cultivate a general positive energy knowing that our current reality isn’t actually ‘real’ and was built on false beliefs and a false self-image. The insistence it isn’t possible is some shit our minds pull to keep us stuck where we are.

  2. Another great podcast–thank you! It has been a shitty week, and I needed something like this to help me shift my energy.

I just started using a habit tracker in my journal to see if I’m really doing all those things I keep saying I’m going to do to get to where I want to be. It’s wonderful and horrifying at the same time because I can see places where I’m making progress and places where I’m still sooooo stuck. I highly suggest it to see where you’re resorting to autopilot and where you’re truly making changes in your everyday life!

My habit tracker has each day of the month across the top and all my habits down the left side. I include stuff like mindful eating, working on writing projects, learning tai chi, and remembering to take time for myself to either relax or fill the creative well. I also have mundane stuff like chores or flossing my teeth every night or anything I want to become automatic, which in theory takes about a month. I think I really need to add an abundance/gratitude habit too.

    1. Hi there
Glad it brightened up your day a bit. Thanks for sharing that suggestion here…I think it will be helpful for a lot of people reading this.
