Podcast #119: Law of Attraction: Instead of ‘As If’ Try ‘What If?’

Loving this Kelli. Couldn’t be more perfectly timed. For me, there’s more immediacy of effect to What If compared to Act As If in terms of experiencing an upward shift of energy – more easily accessible – but perhaps because my focus on my current reality is too strong LOL!! so I need something that’s less effortful. The work notice analogy is great.
However my challenge is to hold the tension of consistently maintaining the energy that matches my “future thing” while at the same time appreciating what I have created right now (whether I like it or not, I created it and I find it hard not to be judgemental about it when it’s something I don’t like – which means I’m being critical of myself, ie. not loving myself).

I am glad you found the podcast helpful and I think a lot of people feel the same way in that this energy might be more easy to access in the present moment. As for your second issue, the way I see it, once we have a desire for something the order has been placed and we don’t need to worry so much about thinking of it,etc… Though because we do tend to think about the things we want a lot–primarily because we are usually wanting them from a space of feeling unhappy without them and/or needing them–we do have to work on thinking of them in a positive way and be aware of what we are sending out. But for the most part, you might find it easier to cultivate the sense of gratitude now for what you have because then you just attract more things to appreciate, which will include whatever specific thing you are wanting in some form.
Your podcast totally hit on the problem I have with trying to act “as if” I already have what I want. Sometimes my imagination can’t conjure up all the positive things about what I want and will go off in the direction of all the things that could go wrong with it. Then I get nervous instead of feeling happy. Asking myself “what if” I had this opens the door for all kinds of good feelings. If something iffy tries to sneak it, I add “and what if that iffy thing isn’t a problem?” I applaud those who are good at “as if”, but as a highly sensitive person, the “what if” sure makes the process easier.

Any way we can get into a better feeling space is going to be good for our energy, and I thought presenting this ‘alternative’ way of changing energy in the immediate moment might be easier for some people, particularly because resistance to our current circumstances, and trouble transcending the emotions they are causing, is the primary barrier to maintaining a higher vibe more consistently.
I had to say….perfect timing, perfect message as is often the case with Kelli’s messages. I know it caused a big shift because I had a dream that the heavy construction equipment was packing up and moving out. All done. We’ll see what happens next, maybe I am finally getting unstuck! And that general vibrational shift is really good for letting things in from all directions.
Hi Kelli! I had manifested the “now” desired manifestation many times in the past. BUT never realizing I had manifested it until one day clarity came ,seemingly out of nowhere, and I felt “already have-ness” in past tense however. Then, more doors opened and ironically this time manifestation was even better “on paper”. Do you find a relationship between the role clarity played and the consequent even better manifestations? Before I realized I already had manifested this thing with a little “mental reshaping of past events”, I tried hard to visualize what I already had! (Just a little bit different however). I think visualization was hard because who would visualize something they already had? *smiley* It was hard because I didn’t have what to add to the picture, but realized it latter.

Clarity about what we want is always beneficial because it helps us better find the vibration that is a good match to what we are really after, helps us focus better,etc… As we go on this journey, we get a better sense of what we want, what we want to feel, and we just keep finetuning our desires and our energy. What we want over time often morphs to various degrees, sometimes changes completely.
What helped me is knowing that the now was created by the past. So yesterday’s vibrations created today which means right this second we are looking at yesterday and deciding that is all we can have. No! Tomorrow can be drastically different if we can remember that what we are vibrating now is determining tomorrow and whether it will be feast or famine.
That is what can be so hard – seeing reality and assuming it is due to the now when it is really just the physical reaction from yesterdays vibrations. But to know that tomorrow can be a 180 degree difference is the mindset we need to program. Believe then see, not the incorrect reverse we were taught as children.

Thanks for such a great comment and wonderful insight. You are so right that all that is happening is just vibrational feedback and as long as we make those changes, what follows will have to change as well. This is one of those things that I think we intellectually understand but can take awhile to really sink in. And until it does, it is easy for our mind to tell a lot of bad-feeling stories about why things are the way they are in the moment, and this just keeps us stuck in that energy and feeling like things can’t change. You are right about that too…I’ll believe it when I see it just won’t cut it with conscious creation!
