Podcast #106: Law of Attraction: Are You Disregarding This Very Important Manifestation?

Because we are so focused on the ‘end’ result, it is easy to overlook the progress we are making, it is easy to shut down the energetic transformation that will lend itself to said result. This particular manifestation can often get lost ‘in the shuffle.’

  1. I dig the idea of a stepping stone manifestations. Sometimes you forget that without the stepping stone, you’d still be walking in the stream, getting your feet wet. I see these manifestations as markers, or, reminders of where I am choosing to put my attention and energy, what I tune into. This is part of being the person who creates the life of your dreams; expanding your awareness and cultivating gratitude enough to see the steps, to see the victories, because celebrating all awesome, seemingly small wins helps you step up the energetic ladder. Excellent wisdom here.

  2. As someone relatively new to all this, I would say your podcast describes where I am right now.

It was maybe two months ago that I settled on ‘the big thing’. It is a specific financial goal, but I still focus a lot of the general, abstract feeling of receiving money easily and being financially independent.

The strange thing is, my life is pretty damn awesome right now and there isn’t much that concerns me. So I approached all this as a fun experiment of sorts, not coming from a place of dire need or attachment.

Nevertheless, within a few weeks I did grow attached – to the outcome especially – and I grew angry when it wasn’t appearing. I think I was trying to force it after a while. There was a clear pattern to all this; it wasn’t some outlying event. In many respects, I had the emotional maturity of a child throwing a tantrum, as embarrassing as it is to admit. But I guess in this work, I really am a child.

Anyway, much of the past four weeks has been making sense of what drives that reaction and transforming it into something that is supportive of my goals. For me, it’s galvanized my trust in the process somewhat in exchange for giving up my need to know “how”.

Interestingly, as I’ve focused on a sense of financial independence and being an attractor of wealth AND not being an impatient asshole, some things have happened:

    1) I never thought of how many points I had on a credit card. It just occurred to me one day to look into it and I discovered I could redeem them all instantly for $1,000, straight back to me.

    2) I won 3 dollars in the lottery.

    3) I’ve had a 100 dollar gift certificate to a specialty foods shop for a year. I simply haven’t used it, but then I thought “my and my girlfriend should use this and make something awesome for Labor Day.” So we’re doing that.

    4) A friend of mine is having problems making their house payments due to health issues. I am considering helping them anonymously. I mentioned all this to my parents when calling them recently, simply as part of the “what’s going on in my life” chit chat. My mom says: “if you want to help, we will contribute $1,000.” I didn’t expect it and wouldn’t have imagined they’d say it. But they did.

This one is especially important because I don’t just want to attract money to hoard it, I also want to parse it back out in a way that will help others. So that last one is a perfect example!

Most astonishingly of all is that some residual part of my human nature still goes: “yeah, but that’s not the thing. And you already had most of that stuff anyway, it didn’t ‘come to you’.” It’s almost (and maybe is) arrogant, but I’m sure I can transform this into something better as well.

It is interesting how this work will make you confront yourself. Reality as a mirror reflects the ugly back at you, too. 🙂

Still, the vast majority of the time I am grateful for these manifestations -and all the ones yet to come.

    1. Hi there
I love what you said in the beginning about having fun with this–that is always a good space from which to approach this work. Those are all wonderful examples and your magnet is certainly strong. The one thing I would say about the money is don’t get too caught up in a specific amount or making it by a certain time, etc… Lots of our goals are arbitrary and then when we don’t meet them, we unnecessarily beat ourselves up for not reaching them when they didn’t have any true meaning in the first place. Also, it usually means trying to control something we ultimately can’t control, like how many clients we get or how many people subscribe to our email list. I imagine the amount represents something–like freedom or whatever, and that is what you really want. This doesn’t mean you can’t get the money–you will since there really isn’t any reason not to.

  3. Hello Kelli,

    Greta shout over here 🙂

Yeah sometimes it becomes hard to enjoy the biggest achievement.

  4. I love the idea that stepping stone manifestations show you you’re aligned. Two recent realizations about them for me: The Universe has an elegant long game. There’s a misperception that LOA is insta manifestation but it’s really about alignment with your true self and those manifestations are continually unfolding. There are intentions or actions of mine from months or even years ago that are still having a beautiful domino effect beyond what I could have imagined. I’m also conscious of co-creating with the Universe more. Sometimes I get a big manifestation unexpectedly but more often I am not only receiving stepping stone manifestations from the Universe but I am taking small steps that keep increasing momentum. Thanks again for your lightwork!

    1. Hi Ruby
Thanks so much for your comment and I am glad you enjoyed the podcast. I love what you said about the long game…I like using that term when talking about the process of shifting energy and making positive change in our life. It is all too easy to get focused on the short-term and ‘trying’ to make certain things happen as quickly as possible, trying to make shifts that might just be too big for the moment. Great insights here!

  5. Hi Kelli. I loved this podcast and really laughed near the end of it when you said that even if we do acknowledge small manifestations that we can still crap all over them. I know I do that though am very aware of that… almost clouding any positive with a bigger negative because it wasn’t the big deal I wanted it to be. It really is about trying to keep the energy up all the time. I think what I struggle with is when my mood is low. eg. I didn’t get a job offer yesterday that I was hoping for and my mood sank quite low. That always needs a big effort from me to try to get the energy up again. Very helpful podcast. Thank you.

    1. Hi Jane
Thanks for your comment and I am glad you found the podcast relevant. Your reactions are normal because we do want certain things, and we get hopeful when something comes along that might be the channel through which it gets delivered. If you are having strong reactions to unmet expectations, opportunities not panning out, etc…that is a good window into your current energy and focus. Give some thought to what is being triggered exactly when these things happen.
