Podcast #105: Law of Attraction: It’s All Just Vibrational Feedback

Having a more accurate understanding of why we are manifesting what we are manifesting is key to shifting energy that needs to be shifted in order to get more of what is wanted and less of what isn’t.

  1. ‘Vibrational Feedback’ this concept itself says a lot. 100% agree with everything you have mentioned in this podcast.
What you sent out finds its match and brings back to us. Even series of thoughts that we receive are due to our particular vibrations at that particular time.
I think when people says LOA doesn’t work is because they are only focused on ‘objects’ they are trying to manifest. Forgetting their vibrations and their focus play very imp role in what they receive.
What I experienced was object is just a reason for us to go on the journey which is necessary for our personal growth. Especially if you are trying to manifest something specific. It’s necessary to bring all hidden fears and doubts to the surface which are deep rooted since when we don’t know. So once we start acknowledging what’s stopping us from having it we can start changing. But it takes lots of practice to acknowledge what needs to be changed. And like you said make use of those unwanted manifestations.
I loved this podcast. It’s spot on and you have covered really very important part of manifestation process. Thank you.

    1. Hi Rhea
Great insights as always. I agree that it is all too easy to become focused on trying to get something–which is okay–and not realizing it is really about the energetic shifts, not just wanting something and attracting it, trying to change some surface beliefs around.

  2. Hi, Kelli –

Thank you so much for this podcast. Much of what you write and talk about is how I approach LOA, although I’m still relatively new to it.

Anyway, two general questions if that’s okay:

    1) How do you know you’re actually making forward progress in clearing out limiting beliefs and getting closer to your goal?

I’ve known a few other practitioners of LOA, but it often seems like they create arbitrary obstacles for themselves to explain why they don’t “have their stuff” yet (as you often phrase it). As in: “it’s not that the LOA is bullcrap, it’s that I still have a limiting belief in this area…”

So, they clear that out. A few months later, still no relationship so they focus on the next limiting belief. Wash, rinse, repeat. In some cases, I’ve seen this go on for years — and while they may have addressed two dozen limiting beliefs in that time, they still don’t have what they originally wanted. Whether that’s a seven figure net worth, a trip to Japan, a romantic partner or whatever.

How do we know we’re progressing and not just running in circles, inventing obstacles so we have something to ACT ON and OVERCOME, likely giving us the feeling that we’re actually getting closer to our goal?

    2) I like what you say about being open to the various forms and channels through which something can come to us. It’s the whole detachment thing you talked about last week.

That said, the majority of LOA teachings aren’t presented that way, right? Especially with ‘The Secret’, ‘Think And Grow Rich’, etc. To me, the explicit message in those films/books is that you can have a near carbon copy of what you visualized in your mind. Or you can be anything and have anything you want; the power and scope is unlimited and anyone can do it if you just ask, believe and receive. Many of them instruct you to write down exactly what you want in as much detail as possible.

“I visualized a 100k account balance and within three weeks, I received it!”

“Every night for a week, I went to sleep imagining myself driving a new black dodge charger and two months later, a distant relative contacted me wanting to sell me that exact car, right down to the specific details, for almost nothing!”

Or the woman who visualized winning a 110 million dollar lottery and it actually happened (I forget her name) a few months later.

What are your thoughts on these? Do you think they’re embellished? Do you think they’re cherry picked examples to show the more fantastic synchronicities?

I guess I’m trying to understand why so much of the LOA material out there promises unlimited possibility to conscious creators, and yet I know very, very few conscious creators who actually got what they specifically imagined. Most have a distant or highly watered down approximation of what was in their mind, but nothing like what they’d expect after watching The Secret again.

Others like yourself steer people away from getting attached to specific details and only relying on them insofar as they provide emotional leverage. That if we visualize a very specific thing, we get the ‘essence’ of it, not necessarily thing thing itself. But, again, this doesn’t seem to square with the majority of LOA teachings out there.

Anyway, hopefully this doesn’t come across as aggressively skeptical. I’m enjoying this process a lot so far and am just trying to sort it all out. And I’m asking you specifically because you strike me as someone who will speak honestly and pragmatically about all of this.

Thank you for your work and the effort your put into this resource for people like myself!

    1. Hi there
Thanks for your comment and I am glad you are finding my work helpful. I can only go really general with the questions you have asked since the topics could go off in countless tangents. If you resonate with my work and you go though my posts and podcasts, you will likely find the information you are looking for

      1. If you are feeling better, you are moving in the right direction–it really is that simple. Many people get too caught up and anxious about their energy, and this creates more resistance than the limiting beliefs themselves. And most people struggle, because if they are truly honest with themselves, they are just not willing to feel better even if they don’t have what they want–they keep getting hung up on their current reality and can’t look past it. And this slows things down considerably

      2. I have manifested many specific things I have thought about as have many others. If we feel inspired to want something, there is a good chance it will manifest just as is. And if you want to focus on something so specific AND it feels good, and you can TRULY be okay with your life as it is now, without this thing, keep on focusing. But this isn’t the case for most of us–we get attached, we feel badly without it, and we ‘try’ too hard to make it happen. The way I see it, being detached and being open to other possibilities will never be painful, it will never work against you, so it doesn’t hurt to entertain this perspective.

Like we all do, especially at first, you are getting really caught up in trying to intellectually understand how it works, so you can make sure you are doing it ‘right’ and can control everything. The sooner we release that tendency, the easier things get. Remember that manifesting is not an action, it isn’t something you ‘do.’ The LOA isn’t a tool to manipulate reality, it’s considered a Universal law that has always been operating in our lives, and the real key to ‘success’ is focusing on the energetic shifts, rather than trying so hard to manifest specific things–the things will still come, they have to if we are an energetic match to it. This way is a lot easier.

  3. Hello Kelli,

Another great post over here 🙂

I love to visit your blog, as every time I am here, there are plenty of things which I can learn from, things that I feel to
    attached with it.

Your knowledge about the Law of attraction is just above than praising and I wonder how perfectly you relate the things

What we let us go from our self, is going to return to us in the same time

Thanks for the amazing pod cast here.

    Shantanu.

    1. Thanks so much Shantanu. I am glad you are finding it a helpful resource. I love what you said about letting go returns us back to our self…awesome!

  4. Hey Kellie thanks for your amazing posts and podcasts, I’ve been subscribing forever but have only recently started visiting your website and they are so helpful. But I’m wondering – how do you stop criticizing yourself for having attracted bad results into your life?

After listening to this podcast several times, which was a huge eye-opener for me, I became overly sensitive to my feelings and thoughts as I feel responsible for whatever bad things that happen to me.

To be more specific, in all my past relationships the guys were wonderful at first and then as I started feeling insecure/ low in my self esteem they started treating me really badly(or more likely I took them overly personally). Surely it was much easier when I didn’t have this new insight and used to blame the guy for being a jerk but now I cannot help feeling responsible for them acting this way because I feel like I attracted all of this(and this should be obvious for those not even familiar with loa because having a low self esteem can bring a lot of troubles into a relationship).

I know feeling guilty and bad about myself will only attract more problems, but it’s not easy to change how I feel when these happen. I try to change my “thoughts” but deep inside I still “feel” bad, as I’m still imagining the worst scenarios of the situation(for example when the guy feels distant I wonder if the guy has started seeing someone else, instead of assuming he must be busy). I don’t have this problem with other things in my life because I’m not as emotionally involved. Have you been at this stage, and if so how did you manage to get out of it? Thanks so much!
    Jane

    1. Hi Jane
Because we are so accustomed to blaming, we just tend to shift it from things outside of us to ourselves, and this is very different than personal responsibility. That is empowering and can help us view our past circumstances in a different light, one that doesn’t leave us feeling so victimized, disempowered, and feeling like getting what we want is dependent on all these outside factors we can’t control. You didn’t realize your inner world was creating your outer, and you didn’t want these things. I wouldn’t worry so much about the past, but focus more on the future, moving forward with this idea your energy is the driving force, and it is something you can control, the only thing really.

  5. This concept makes so much sense to me. I am always trying to find exactly why I attracted a particular thing into my life. This puts me at ease. Thank you

    1. Hi Cooper
Thanks so much for your comment and I am glad you found the podcast helpful. When we realize it’s our energy at the core, it is very empowering because that is something that is under our control–we get to think, feel and believe whatever we want. All the outer factors that we think matter, that we can’t control–which feels badly–actually don’t and that feels really good.

  6. Great info!
I think people sometimes just want something they’re familiar with instead of trying to manifest what is best for them.
For example, when people wanna manifest an ex. Sometimes that ex is an ex for good reason and it would be better to love yourself in order to manifest love.
Cant lie tho, I’ve made that mistake before myself.
