I have always said learning about the law of attraction can be a blessing and a curse. Of course, it’s never a bad thing to learn you can influence your reality by way of your energy, something of which you have total control. But given how our mind works, there can be some downsides that we have to address. I discuss one of the biggies in this podcast. Enjoy

Podcast #94: Law of Attraction: Are You Addicted to Manifesting?

Hi Kelly. Thanks again for another insightful blog. My big battle still remains with the thing: I feel bad. Bad shit happens, that is a given and makes sense. I feel good and then bad shit also happens sometimes. Not big drama manifestations. Not even thinking about LOA at the time. Just being generally happy and being in a good mood and then somebody does a small negative thing. The negative things happens yes when I am feeling shit and the person will do something and afterwards I can see the correlation in my attitude towards the person and what manifested. But then feeling good and positive in myself and the world and that person as well and then something still happens that makes me feel ugh. Not full out mad but just pissed off. Like an unexpected little punch on the arm. So I can only conclude that we are forever at the mercy of hidden vibrations, lurking under the surface and popping out to teach us and say “dude – you thought your vibe was high – but SURPRISE! It actually wasn’t. (snigger snigger). Here’s some more homework to do, some more digging. Good luck for next time you feel happy. It might turn out good or it might not. .
Hi Mary
It sounds like one of your big issues is being very resistant to situations your mind judges as ‘bad’ because it produced some sort of negative emotion. It doesn’t matter if you are thinking about the LOA or not…remember it’s not a tool to manipulate reality but a way of explaining how said reality functions. You are always emitting energy, consciously or not. I suspect there are lots of energies you aren’t dealing with in the name of being ‘positive’ and they are just coming up to be dealt with. In my experience, this is especially true when we find ourselves having strong reactions to things that don’t seem like that big a deal. Don’t view these manifestations as some sort of punishment for being negative or having some sort of limiting belief–it is just vibrational feedback.
Hi Kelli,
A very sensitive topic. I feel bored because I don’t have a job and I tried to do my own business but I figured out that I’m afraid to deal with people because I’m an untrained empath who didn’t know how to deal with people and I’m learning how to deal with it now. I just really wish if I could get a good income because I feel worthless and a burden to my father (who is the bread winner in my family). I don’t know if that will be called addiction. What do you think?
Hi Tina
It sounds like you have some serious self-worth issues to address, which is very common. It also sounds like you are discovering a lot about your own temperament and personality, and this is very valuable in helping you find a career that will suit you. If you didn’t succeed at what you were doing previously, it says nothing about what is possible moving forward. If you are waiting for something to manifest to ‘prove’ your worth or to feel better, it might be a slow-going path since your energy wouldn’t really allow for that to happen. You have to do the inner work first and the manifestation of the new energy can then make its way in.
