  1. You have explained detachment very well. Thank you for that. I think it’s good that most of us want something and create something otherwise this world wouldn’t have progressed much.
When I started learning LOA I realized that there are certain stages we have to go through to really understand what’s this all about. For me first step was getting clarity about what is that I want then understanding why I want it. Then wait for sometime and see if that desire stays or just fades away. Because when we really really want something we don’t give up no matter what.
Next step I learned was to work on my resistance and making conscious shifts to become match to that desire. And when I started working consciously I started feeling like I don’t have to think so much about what to do. I will receive an inspiration to take right action at the right time. Just stay focused on ‘ Being’ till the time you feel resistance has pretty much gone and your mind started believing in your desire. Because of this practice my mind changed a lot. Fear and anxiety gone away. I feel balanced most of the time. I started enjoying everything I do and things started moving fast. The best thing happened was i started living in present more and more.
Then I started working on having access to feelings which I would have had after receiving my desire. And while working on this stage I realized that detachment for me is like I have sent my order to the universe and now I have to give universe time to process it. Give time to universal forces to work towards it. Give them time to arrange those situations where I will get inspiration to be part of them so my dream will come into physical reality. This way I am out of wanting stage. Faith takes it place and keeps running in background while I go through my days. It’s like knowing that whatever I want is on it’s way.
It all feels good and I think in the end that’s what I want. Happy feelings. And like you always said we have access to those feelings anytime :).

    1. Thanks for such a wonderful comment Rhea. Your explanation of the ‘phases’ is spot on, especially where action comes into play. You should really consider starting a blog yourself…it would be really really good!

  2. Super message. I have seen detachment doesn’t mean not wanting, or indifference, or a complete and total surrender into whatever is. We are worldly folks. We want. So get busy having fun and helping people and feeling good with the way things are, largely. Then learn to appreciate all you are experiencing – largely – and you will slowly and steadily become more detached from wantings, yet, you will still want and feel like it’d be neat if something manifested. Like, it’d be fun to have or experience something, but having or experiencing it doesn’t define you, nor is it a life and death thing.

    1. Hey husband
Wise words as always. I like what you said about how we still want something but from a different space–not needing but just cool to have and experience.
