Hey there kiddies. Welcome to part 4 of my LOA series. If you have been reading up until this point, I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared. If this is your first stop here, I highly recommend reading the first three parts, which can easily be found by going to the LOA category link on the sidebar. The information is not necessarily outlined in a way that you won’t understand something unless you read the post that came before it, but I feel there is some sort of flow to what I have presented thus far, or maybe not. So, when you have a moment..get on that.
And, as usual, some beautiful travel pics will be thrown in because they represent the realization of the dream I had, a dream I didn’t think was possible until I began my work with LOA. And I hope seeing them will inspire you to follow your dream, whatever it may be. Think today will be some random Vietnam pics.
If you haven’t been reading the previous posts, there are a couple of points I have been addressing at the start of each because I know when I first started, they gnawed at me. So much, that it made me wonder if this was just a bunch of nonsense.
And I want to make sure that anyone stumbling upon a random post gets my two cents on the matter to ensure they too stick with their LOA efforts. And, even if you have been reading every one, you could probably use the reinforcement because that is the only way to root out old beliefs and let new ones take hold.
First, LOA will probably not make ‘sense’ to you; and that is understandable since it presents a way of thinking that is very, very different from how you probably think now. It might seem a bit too good to be true. So, all I have to do is feel good and I will get what I want? Riiiiiiiight. Our energy and deep-rooted beliefs are responsible for what happens in our life? Um, okay.
While most of us would agree that we obviously have a decent degree of control over our lives based on the deliberate decisions we make, I would argue that at the same time, the large majority have a pretty strong belief that we don’t have that much control on the whole, and various outside forces play the biggest role in determining the course of our individual existence.
But, you have much more power than you know, but fully realizing this will require you to put aside your desire to understand this ‘logically’, to obtain some sort of irrefutable ‘proof.’ Experience will be your only proof, and you’ll never get it if you don’t open your mind and give it a whirl. So in the immortal words of Nike…just do it.
So, if how we think and feel can get us the stuff we want, that obviously means that the bad stuff is also a result of what is going on in our inner world. It can’t just be true for one set of circumstances and not the other. This is where you can really get off course, because you will start thinking about bad things that happen to people, like the really bad things.
And this is the point where people get all mad, and misinterpret everything. They see ‘attracting’ something bad as getting punished, and they think something like LOA is absurd. But, as much as I still don’t fully grasp this concept as far as the bad stuff, I know one thing for sure, and that is the ‘Universe’ is not punishing people for their fears and negative beliefs.
While I always want to learn more, I am getting better at letting go of trying to understand everything down to the last drop. But, if you want that deeper understanding, please check out Melody Fletcher’s blog..she is a genius with this stuff, like seriously. She will blow your mind.
You will naturally think about these bad things, and you won’t understand it. That’s okay. But, don’t let that drive you away from LOA. You are interested in it because you want to see positive changes in your life, so just focus on that for now. And as you get more advanced, you can do all the reading you want on the ‘bad’ stuff.
And onto the goodies of part 4…..
Focusing on the ‘What’ and Not the ‘How’
Remember what I said before about not letting ‘logic’ get in the way? I can’t stress the importance of this enough. It will be hard, really hard. I definitely still find it getting in the way. It forms the foundation of our thought processes, and we really just can’t turn it off, at least not in the beginning.
Logical thinking obviously serves its purpose in our life, but when it comes to bringing your dreams to reality, and living the life you really want to live, it can be a real buzzkill. It will stomp all over your dreams until they are nothing more than a bloody pulp.
Naturally, when you first start thinking about what you want, your mind is going to immediately drift to how you would get it, and the ‘bolder’ the desire, the less options you are going to be able to come up with . And then you will start feeling discouraged because based on the circumstances of your life now, you cannot possibly see how this desire can come to fruition. And, the energy surrounding your intention will be suffused with doubt, fear, worry and a bunch of other unhelpful emotions.
But, you cannot possibly figure out all the ways the thing you want can come to you—never in a million years. The possibilities are truly infinite, and our minds are puny little things that can maybe come up with like, four ways. You never know who you will meet, what information you will come across, what random inspirations lead you to make a certain decision, which somehow connects you with what you are looking for.
There are a million examples of this from my own life, and I will share the first one that randomly popped into my head; and it is a good one too because it has to do with money, one of the things people most want to attract, but have the most difficult time with because we have all sorts of weird energy and beliefs around it.
I remember a few years ago, I was a bit short on cash, and I didn’t have enough to cover some of the expenses that were coming up. One day I checked my bank account and the balance had gone up by a couple of hundred dollars. I checked the transaction history, and there was a deposit from a bank in Lima, Peru.
I had been there on a trip several months earlier, and the only thing I could think of was perhaps a withdrawal I had made at one of its ATM machines was deducted twice from my account, and having discovered this glitch, they put the money back. During my trip, I was on a pretty tight budget, and I think I would have noticed something like that, but maybe I didn’t, or maybe it never happened, but they thought it did.
In my efforts to attract more money, that scenario never would have occurred to me if I had a thousand guesses. See what I mean about not trying to figure out ‘how’ because you just can’t???
But, you can only line up with all this awesomeness if you are willing to just focus on the ‘what’ and stop trying to figure out the ‘how.’ When I first decided the type of life I wanted to live, there was nothing in my life that would indicate it was possible, logically. But, here I am. I constantly worked to beat my logical brain into submission, and just put out good vibes for what I wanted.
Releasing Control and Attachment to Specific Outcomes
When deciding what you want to bring into your life, you have to release the urge to try and control and manipulate circumstances to achieve your ends. Sure, there may be certain actions that must be performed to move forward with your goals, like registering for classes if you decide you want to go back to school, or actually writing something if you decide you want to become a published author. But, I am not talking about that type of stuff. I am talking about the type of stuff that will create an energy that blocks what you want.
A certain situation may arise, and it appears it would lead you to what you want, so you work on ensuring you get your desired result. But, if this work involves trying to force certain things to happen, or leads you to do things that are an energetic drain, things that bring you out of alignment with the good stuff, it is time to step back and reevaluate. If inspiration strikes to perform an action that makes you feel good about your desire, go for it. But, remember force negates.
It is also important you release attachment to specific outcomes. As your attraction magnet gets stronger, you will notice more things coming into your reality that suggest what you want is indeed possible. This is really exciting, and it is easy to get your heart set on a specific situation that presents itself.
Maybe you have been out of work and are looking for a job—you have been doing your ‘attraction’ work, and someone contacts you for an interview, after months of nothing. Then you get all excited, thinking this must be the job you for which you have been searching.
You are feeling lonely, and are working on finding a partner. You too have been doing your ‘attraction’ thang and someone asks you on a date, the first one in six months. This must be the soul mate you have been seeking.
You go on the job interview, and you don’t get hired. You go out on that date, and within the first five minutes, you realize how utterly wrong this person is for you. Then comes that crushing wave of disappointment; the doubt about LOA seeps in; you start worrying you will never get what you want.
But, how I see it, these are good things. It shows your efforts are starting to bear fruit, and you are aligning with what you want. You just haven’t found the perfect match yet. Don’t get attached to specific outcomes. When a situation arises, just go with the flow, and whatever happens, happens. Know what you want is coming. Don’t think things can only happen in a certain way. Remember what I said about our puny little brains.
Here is a quick recap of what has been covered so far
- Do you have to feel fabulous every second of the day to move LOA in your favor? No, thank God.
- You have to start feeling good right now, regardless of the million reasons you can come up with not to–LOA is about how we feel, and you can’t get good things until you feel good.
- Your past has no bearing on what is possible for the future; if you change what is inside, the outside will change. Previous experiences are irrelevant.
- You must identify the limiting beliefs you hold in your mind, and get ’em out of there. You have a lot of reprogramming to do, and the only way you will be able to significantly shift your thought patterns and beliefs is by frequent exposure to materials that discuss these better ways of thinking and being.
- Feeling true gratitude for the good in your life now, no matter how small a thing may seem, creates the type of energy that will align you with the things you want but don’t yet have. You won’t get more until you feel happy with what you already possess.
- Throw logic out the window. Focus on what you want, and don’t worry about how it will come.
- Don’t try to control everything; don’t get attached to specific situations that arise. If it doesn’t work out, it just means it wasn’t the best way to deliver what you want. Don’t worry, the Universe has your back, and it won’t disappoint.
More fab LOA insights KC! Forget the how, be in the now, I say. It’s tough, but paying it forward, helping others, feeling joy as you offer service and being grateful helps you manifest cool things fast, and more than that, it helps you RECOGNIZE your manifestations.

Thanks. Ooh..I love that ‘forget the how be in the now’ Might have to use that, with proper attribution of course! You make some excellent points and give great advice.
That ‘random bear’ looks like he’s up to something, and not in a good way!
🙂
Hi Kelli –
For a lot of people, letting go of doubts is never simple or easy. Even the most positive thinkers may occasionally experience moments of uncertainty or may hesitate at the moment when their dreams are about to come true. Thanks for a wonderful post!
Hi Nate
You are so right about that…in one of my other posts I discussed how it is okay if you don’t feel great 24/7…we just want to aim for at least 51 percent!
I’m starting to feel rumblings of what I really want coming into my reality. It does work, i know it does – just need to stay focused on the goals…
Hi Debbie
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am so glad to hear you are getting results with your attraction work. You’re right..it does work!
I still can’t really understand about manifesting the really bad things either. Reading Melody’s blog has helped though. I found your blog through hers. 🙂
I’m enjoying reading the series so far. I do find the pictures inspiring, travel is one of the things I want to do. 🙂
Hi there
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, and Im glad you like the posts and pictures. Yeah, Melody’s blog is one of my main LOA study guides! Because I lack that full understanding, I was reluctant to write about the topic at all, but I had so much success applying the principles to my life, and I knew I could provide information that would help people. And I figured most people are interested in the concept for the ‘good’ stuff so I wanted to stress focusing on that and putting aside the doubts and questions about everything else for now!
Hi Kelli, you’re welcome. 🙂 I think it’s good to hear about different people’s experiences and read about people who are at different stages. It can make it a bit more “relatable ” if someone else is still learning too. 🙂 (If that’s the right word, I mean “easier to relate to”).
Focusing on the good stuff now is a good tip!
Hi Kelli I am brand spanking new to LOA but have been a kinda believer without actually knowing it was a thing. I am actually a bit confused about taking action or not. My husband and I are planning an extended career break and I have been thinking about taking a second job but didn’t really feel good about it but two days after writing my CV I was offered extra permanent shifts at my current job. These shifts are perfect for me and the extra income will have us on our way much faster but how do I know this is what the universe had planned?
Hey there
I think a lot of people found that…they read about it and are like…yeah, I kind of figured that is how it went! There are a couple of things I would say to help
1. The Universe isn’t planning anything for you, you are in control. Anything you are being delivered is a result of your vibration and it is being done without any sort of evaluation or judgment by a force beyond you. So don’t worry that there is some path being laid out for you by something else and it is your job to figure out what you are supposed to do, and if you choose ‘wrong’ things will get messed up.
2. It is hard to not want to figure out the next 50 steps right now, but we can only ever see the next step. It would seem your next step would be finding ways to get some more money, and you have been presented with an opportunity…whether or not that opportunity is right will depend on how you feel about it. Do you want to take the extra shifts or does that not feel good…if not, why? If you don’t think you want to do it, but you feel apprehensive because you feel you ‘should’ you also want to ask yourself ‘why?’ If it feels right and you are excited to be able to reach your goals, it sounds like you just had an awesome manifestation. It is also important to remember you can’t ever really make a ‘wrong’ choice because no matter what, any manifestation will help you along your path somehow and you’ll always be able to get where you want to go.
Thanks for taking the time to answer Kelli it’s helped a lot ?
