When it comes to working with a teaching like the law of attraction, we tend to get focused on the end result, the thing we want to attract. This is not really an issue in and of itself. The problem is the tendency to try and go about manifesting this thing in a way that might not feel so good, thinking we will feel differently when we get the result.
One of the things we don't see coming when working with a teaching like the law of attraction is having to deal with all the 'ick' we have been carrying around our whole lives. We get to allow these feelings and acknowledge them. The trick is not 'fighting' for them, which is very different. Here are some thoughts on the difference. Once we learn about a teaching like the law of attraction, we tend to zero in on very specific manifestations. That really isn't a problem in and of itself. But we can miss the bigger picture, miss what we are really after. One of the biggest barriers to harnessing the power of the law of attraction with the ease in which we are supposed to, is all the resistance to our current reality, all the resistance to what we worry will happen in the future, all the things we don't want to happen. Breaking down this resistance is key to receiving.
When you start working with a teaching like the law of attraction, you quickly come to realize you probably need to do some work on your belief system. Releasing the beliefs that no longer serve us and adopting the ones that do can seem challenging, and we quickly overcomplicate the process to the point where we feel like giving up on the whole thing. But it isn't as hard as it seems and there is one key ingredient to making the shift. Enjoy!
