A couple of years ago, I started a free Blogger blog to write about the various personal development topics which interested me. At the time I was going through a rough patch and it was therapeutic. Then I got busy with work stuff and my writing efforts became a bit stunted. Eventually it officially entered the blog graveyard. That was in October 2012. Every once in awhile, I would get that nagging feeling about starting one up again, but then I would kind of forget about it for awhile, and this cycle went on up until..oh, yesterday. Got myself a domain name, had my tech-savvy fiance install me a WordPress blog, and here I write my first post. Part of my reluctance to start again was thinking about all I would need to do to get everything up and running, drive traffic,etc… Even now, I am not fully sure what I hope to accomplish here. I just know I feel that urge to start writing about the topics about which I feel passionate. So, that is exactly what I will do and we’ll see what transpires.<\/p>\n
When we get an idea in our minds about something we want to do, whether it be go back to school to finish a degree, drop 50 pounds or start a home-based business, our minds automatically go to all the thing we need to do to get from where we are now to where we want to be. It can seem overwhelming, and this overwhelm often leads us to doing absolutely nothing. We look at the people we admire and whom we want to emulate, and forget that at one point, they were right where we are now. They did not spring forth into the world fully formed successes.<\/p>\n
Whatever desire is brewing inside you right now, commit to taking some sort of action today, even if it is as something as simple as looking something up on the internet. Plan ahead as necessary, but try to focus on the task at hand right now, the moment you are in right now. Then take the next small step. Before you know it , you will be knee-deep in accomplishing your goal and nothing will get in your way. Just start today!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
