How can I feel better when I have no dominance over my them? Thinking positive has never helped. I&#8217;m not sure what to do about my racing mind.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learning about something like the law of attraction and conscious creation can literally be life-changing&#8211;you\u2019ve now been informed the core element influencing your life is something under your \u2018control\u2019 for lack of a better word.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You discover all you desire is truly possible; you come to understand there is no reason to struggle with the many things with which we struggle. You can improve your health, you can turn your finances around, you can make money and do something you love at the same time, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/manifesting-a-relationship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">find a relationship<\/a>, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/manifesting-weight-loss-call-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lose the weight<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You discover the Universe is this amazing co-creator that can help line things up for us, that can assist us, that can help us accomplish things we never could simply through our own efforts or left up to our own devices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u2018catch\u2019 will all of this though is we are going to have to make some changes, sometimes really big changes in ourselves and in our lives. No longer being held hostage by our mind, and letting its ill-informed views dominate our life is one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If our inner world is the level of \u2018cause\u2019 and setting the stage for what\u2019s happening\u00a0 outside, we have to make sure what\u2019s going on there is conducive to these changes we desire. We have to be sure we are in a position to receive them. We have to make sure the energetic \u2018signature\u2019 we are emitting (at least most of the time) lends itself to receiving these things, not repelling them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This \u2018work\u2019 often creates a lot of tension within us because we get so focused on attracting what we don\u2019t have. We anxiously try to monitor our thoughts and feelings, not for the sake of feeling better (that would be pure insanity I know) but just to get something, just to change the outside. And this sets us up for a lot of unnecessary emotional \u2018ick.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many of us, it isn\u2019t until we take this foray into the world of conscious creation, that we become aware of our belief system, of how we focus our attention most of the time, of how we truly see ourselves, of what we believe is possible, of what we believe about how the world works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And a lot of it ain\u2019t good&#8230;we are going to need to make some serious tweaks. This is okay though&#8230;this is the situation that pretty much all of us are facing. Unless you were raised in an environment where you were conditioned with these perspectives from a young age, you picked up a whole lot of shit programming that probably created all sorts of undesirable situations, that kept you from manifesting the myriad circumstances you would have preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/new-call-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mind is a real motherfucker<\/a> and when you really tune into what it\u2019s doing, when you start to realize that little voice in your head never stops talking, it can feel like quite the formidable foe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea of now having to \u2018control\u2019 this thing that\u2019s been controlling you your whole life can seem like quite the tall order. This will kind of never happen but that\u2019s okay because that isn&#8217;t necessary. We literally have 10s of thousands of thoughts a day&#8211;the idea we can control every one&#8230;good luck with that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t get me wrong though&#8230;as you do this work, as you truly begin to\u00a0 adopt certain perspectives as your own, you will likely stop thinking certain things altogether. You will change your general frame of mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But overall, you will probably still have thoughts that bother you, you will have moments when you feel fearful or doubtful about something. Things will happen that unearth feelings you didn&#8217;t realize you felt, beliefs you didn&#8217;t know you believed. There will always be some &#8216;stuff&#8217; floating around.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, the primary goal will be changing your relationship to these thoughts, this part of your mind that seems hell-bent on torturing us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emotionally Divesting<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only reason our \u2018negative\u2019 thoughts are a problem is because they produce \u2018negative\u2019 emotion. There is a \u2018charge\u2019 to them that affects the energy we are putting out into the world. This obviously means this is going to impact what our life looks like, what shows up and what doesn\u2019t.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only reason we are bothered by negative thoughts is because they make us feel badly and we obviously don\u2019t like to feel badly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And once we get wind of something like the law of attraction, we feel even worse because we are now aware of the impact of our thoughts and feelings, which further amplifies the deep fear we may never get what we want and all the negative feelings we are banking on the manifestation to take away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only reason this \u2018charge\u2019 exists is because we believe the thought is true. The more you learn about the true nature of reality, who you really are and all that jazz, the more we see these ways of thinking are not valid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The key here though is trusting the intuitive resonance you feel with this information, that feeling in your heart you are stumbling upon some sort of \u2018truth.&#8217; This is a necessary ingredient.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is all we have to go on for the most part&#8211;that is why faith and trust is such an important part of this work. There are no logical, rational explanations that you can seek out to \u2018justify\u2019 thinking and feeling this way, that it is \u2018right.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So if that is the case, then we see all these negative ways of looking at things, all the fears, all those limitations in thinking that feels badly&#8211;that obviously can\u2019t be true.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s really that simple&#8230;it just might not always be so easy to put into practice. It takes a bit of effort especially in the beginning. Here\u2019s the thing&#8230;this work isn\u2019t inherently hard, but our conditioning does make it feel challenging at times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we want to use that as an excuse not to do it, it\u2019s fine but we have to accept the consequences of that&#8211;<em>we<\/em> won\u2019t change which means our <em>life<\/em> won\u2019t in any real way, unless of course we take a shit ton of painful action to try and force certain results. But there are no guarantees there, that\u2019s for damn sure. So just suck it up and do the \u2018work.\u2019 It\u2019s worth it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, the first step in dealing with all that \u2018chatter\u2019 is not getting emotionally invested. This reduces the \u2018effect\u2019 it will have on your circumstances because that emotional component becomes weaker.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you find yourself getting really worked up about something, finding yourself thinking in a way that doesn\u2019t serve you, you just have to remind yourself your mind doesn\u2019t know what it\u2019s talking about, it is misleading you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t get invested emotionally. Some visualization may help here: imagine the thought melting away, turning to dust, turning down the volume until it goes mute&#8230;whatever floats your boat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The less emotional charge, the less impact it will have on your energy. The less these thoughts will interfere with any \u2018work\u2019 you are doing on cultivating positive emotion and shifting perspective, changing beliefs. And as your energy shifts more to the \u2018positive\u2019 end of the spectrum, you\u2019ll manifest stuff that reflects it back to you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And with this \u2018proof\u2019 these ways of thinking have some validity, you automatically see the old ways don\u2019t and it gets easier and easier to release these ways of thinking. And even when you have moments you are thinking this way, you know these thoughts aren\u2019t true; and again, lacking your belief in them, you don\u2019t have an emotional response. They pass eventually.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There has to be a real, true willingness to entertain all these new perspectives and beliefs with which you are being presented&#8211;if most of us are honest, we really aren\u2019t doing that. We still believe all the stuff our mind tells us, we don\u2019t make any real effort to redirect our thoughts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like I mentioned before, it feels too \u2018hard\u2019 to do this so we basically don\u2019t. Don\u2019t let your mind keep convincing you this is a valid reason to not try&#8230;it believes this to be 100 percent, and then we believe it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living in the Present Moment<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the best \u2018defenses\u2019 against a racing mind full of unhelpful thoughts is trying to be more in the present moment. In the \u2018now\u2019 most things are usually fine. If there is a problem, you deal with it in whatever ways you need to, both practically and emotionally. It\u2019s hard to \u2018deal\u2019 with things that are just projections in the mind, that actually haven\u2019t happened.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, if things are usually just peachy in the \u2018now,\u2019 all our mental \u2018ick\u2019 is stemming from thinking about the past and future in ways that serve no positive purpose.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are lamenting and regretting all sorts of experiences that can\u2019t \u2018unhappen.\u2019. We waste precious time and energy questioning decisions that have already been made, and resulting outcomes that can\u2019t be changed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are worrying about all sorts of things that may never happen. We are worrying how we will handle things we know for sure are going to happen, and dreading the moment they finally do, making all sorts of assumptions about what will transpire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mind loses all its power in the \u2018now\u2019 which is why it doesn\u2019t want you to stay there; but if you\u2019re diligent about making this effort, you would be amazed at the difference in how you feel, how much of the racing thoughts you can basically shut down&#8211;they may still be there, but sound like more of\u00a0 whisper rather something that is screaming in your face.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second challenge is most of our \u2018nows\u2019 are kind of mundane&#8211;checking email at work, doing the dishes, feeding your kids, cleaning the house, doing laundry, showering, waiting on line at the store. That\u2019s life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But those moments when you are truly immersed in the present&#8211;they feel oh so good and it\u2019s worth the effort to try and give your full attention in these moments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And when your \u2018now\u2019 is something more substantial, something that is really producing positive feelings, lean into that shit as best you can.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It might be things that feel good on a physical level\u00a0 like a massage, yoga, exercise or sex. It might be something that feels very enjoyable on an emotional level, like spending time with your niece whom you love more than anyone, watching a really funny comedy act, getting together with friends you haven\u2019t seen in awhile, being in a beautiful natural setting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The more you can be in the \u2018now\u2019 the more we start to see how many of our \u2018problems\u2019 really aren\u2019t problems at all. We see how things&#8211;even if they aren\u2019t ideal right now&#8211; probably aren\u2019t as bad as our mind is making them out to be. We clean up the \u2018filter\u2019 through which we\u2019re viewing our experience, and perspective is everything in this journey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">General Vibe Management<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I talk about this a lot because it is so crucial to energy work and just personal growth work in general. The better we feel overall, the easier it is to deal with challenges. The better we feel overall, the less we get sucked into our mind\u2019s bullshit. The better we feel overall, the more clearly we can see all these wonderful things we are being told are actually true.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The better you feel, the easier it is to do things that will keep you feeling better. You start to break up that momentum of \u2018negativity\u2019 that lends itself to bad choices and self-sabotaging behavior that keeps us stuck in the very circumstances we claim make us feel so badly, and want to change so desperately.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since manifesting is all about what we are \u2018being,\u2019 that energy we are emitting 24\/7, it becomes very clear how feeling better overall is very beneficial for \u2018getting stuff.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everything you want is because you think it will make you feel better. All the inner work we do, all the effort we make at changing our mindset, getting a grip on our mental chatter and everything else&#8211;it\u2019s because we want to feel better. That is all we are after at the end of the day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And there are tons of things we can do now to help us achieve that goal&#8211;you\u00a0 can start getting what you want at any moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What can you do now to start feeling better? What changes do you need to make in your life? How can you best manage your negative feelings? Is it meditation? Exercise? Journaling? Making more time to do things you enjoy?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you need to subtract anything from your life? Negative people? Bad habits? Working too much?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What we \u2018do\u2019 externally to support a healthier internal environment is a very individual thing. We all have unique challenges. We respond differently to different tools, techniques, approaches, activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To best execute this \u2018strategy\u2019 of general vibe management , you need to start paying attention to what\u2019s happening in your life, how different things are affecting you on an emotional level.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And with that feedback, you will start to see what you can do. And then actually do it&#8211;that should go without saying but far too many people don\u2019t take that last crucial step.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Turn<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>What did you think?
