It never stops and its so hard to feel better when it pokes at every single little thing.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;ll be going beyond discussing\u00a0 just the &#8216;poking&#8217; ,and negative focus of the mind, because this is just a manifestation of deeper issues that are important to understand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I loved this question because it allows me to talk about what is\u00a0 our core, and essentially, <em>only<\/em> problem when it comes to changing our energy in significant, lasting ways&#8211;our highly dysfunctional, fucked-up mind!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Think about it&#8211;without all its nonsense, this energy \u2018work\u2019 would be an absolute breeze.\u00a0 Actually, we wouldn\u2019t even need to do it in the first place because we would naturally be existing in a state where we were wide-open to receive all the best life has to offer, all the things we want so, so badly. It would all be the \u2018norm.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There would be no need for any sort of personal development \u2018work\u2019\u00a0 at all because essentially its purpose is dealing with the\u2018symptoms\u2019 of this dysfunction&#8211;the fear, the anxiety, the incessant thinking, our distorted view of self and all that other fun stuff.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But alas, this is not how it works. This part of us is pretty messed up, and we often wonder why it does what it does and how did it get this way? Excellent questions and I wish I had the answers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And since we will probably never get any , spending too much time lamenting this won\u2019t do us much good. It just is what it is, and upon recognizing this dysfunction, we\u2019re faced with a choice of whether we do something about it or continue to be its victim. Hopefully you\u2019re opting for the former.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s Not the Chatter, It\u2019s The Emotion<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As all of you may have noticed, that lovely voice in your head NEVER stops going. It\u2019s constant, whether it\u2019s narrating your current situation, wondering whether you turned off the coffeemaker, having an imaginary fight with your ex, rehearsing what you\u2019d say if you ran into the friend you recently stopped talking to, re-imagining an argument where you&#8217;re armed with all the witty retorts that eluded you at the time,\u00a0 listing all the reasons why you probably can\u2019t have the thing you want, what could go wrong with your sales presentation, how you\u2019re a horrible failure because you can\u2019t lose weight, or reliving a humiliating moment from high school from which you never fully recovered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talk about torture. From an energy perspective, you see how this tendency can make it hard to really change your vibe in significant ways, how it can keep you stuck in all sorts of energies that will keep you stuck in whatever unwanted situations in which you find yourself now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thinking we need to somehow shut this down permanently or it will continue to mess with us&#8230;even <em>more<\/em> torture because we see we kind of can\u2019t. And this means we\u2019ll continue to be miserable and we\u2019ll never get what we want because we can\u2019t change our energy and focus in the way we know we need to change them to manifest a different reality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, the good news is, you don\u2019t have to find a way to stop this, you just need to stop getting emotionally invested in what it\u2019s saying, you have to stop believing these things are true, you MUST stop fighting for all these shitty-feeling thoughts and beliefs based on your past and current circumstances&#8211;we do that more than we know and it\u2019s pure insanity through and through.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The emotional charge is the problem from an energetic perspective because <strong><em>that<\/em><\/strong> is what determines the make-up of your energy, <em><strong>that<\/strong> <\/em>is what comprises the \u2018signature\u2019 you&#8217;re sending out into the world that\u2019s determining what\u2019s showing up and what\u2019s not.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must be <em>willing<\/em> to accept your mind has <em>no clue<\/em> about anything, how <em>little<\/em> it understands about energy and how the world works, how <em>little<\/em> it understands about you and what you\u2019re capable of .\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have to understand the core energy from which it operates is deep, deep, deep, deep fear of pretty much everything. It\u2019s addicted to your pain, it\u2019s addicted to finding problems and will turn anything into one the first opportunity it gets. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It wants you to be in pain, it wants you to be neurotic because this is how it controls you, how it keeps you loyal to its various messed-up agendas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t worry though, as you make certain shifts in your thinking and perspectives, purge and heal emotionally, you\u2019ll stop thinking and feeling many of the things you do now. It\u2019s not about accepting your mind will always be operating at a 12 out of 10 and you just have to find a way to deal with it. There can, and will be, significant relief.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The point is, as a human this part of you isn\u2019t going anywhere, and you want to find a way to not let it rule you like it does; you want to change your relationship to this part of yourself&#8211;you need to be the boss of it so it\u2019s no longer the boss of you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Mind\u2019s a Mess<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our mind is <em>very good<\/em> at convincing us all the shitty stuff it believes is absolute fact, and no matter how painful it might be, you don\u2019t get to change your mind. This is just how it is and that\u2019s that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And for most of us, for most of our lives, we bought into this. We fight fiercely for all our limitations in thinking, our fears and shitty perspectives about how the world works.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You would think we would want to question such things given how terrible they make us feel, but the mind is very good at what it does. It is <strong><em>very good<\/em><\/strong> at helping you forget the energy came first, and then the manifestations, both on an individual and collective level. It then points to all these things as \u2018proof\u2019 what it believes is obviously true.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It doesn\u2019t care about being happy, it just cares about being right. Your mind <em>doesn\u2019t give two shits<\/em> about your emotional well-being, it <em>couldn\u2019t care less<\/em> if you ever deal with the pain, the traumas or anything like that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And like I mentioned earlier, all this \u2018ick\u2019 helps control you and keep you listening to it. It wants you to feel badly about yourself, it wants you to be scared, it wants you to see the world as a hostile place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> So not only does it have no use for your happiness and well-being, it is a <em>direct threat<\/em> to its very existence. Just like you would probably do anything to survive if you felt your life was in true danger, your mind will fight just as hard with all that chatter, with trying to make you feel separate, keeping up those walls, keeping you in a literal constant state of fear.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, once we get a better understanding of how it works, we come to understand\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We Have to Make Some Choices<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, you now have a better understanding of the depth of the dysfunction ,and why your mind operates this way, you are faced with one <em>core<\/em> choice you will need to make over and over again, not just once&#8211;<em><strong>do I keep listening to it or do I stop and start operating from a different space, one filled with self-love, faith and trust?<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And then there\u2019s all sorts of other choices you will be called upon to make, again, over and over most likely, as your mind will be very good at pulling you back into habitual patterns of thought, feeling and behavior.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is true even among the most \u2018advanced\u2019 people. Your mind\u2019s dysfunction will thwart you in countless ways, but only if you <em>let it<\/em>, only if you <em>let it<\/em> keep dictating how you move through the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll have to decide if your feelings and intuition are a valid means of evaluating what is true and untrue. The stuff that feels good&#8211;you&#8217;re a powerful creator who is whole, perfect and complete as you are,\u00a0 the Universe supports us&#8211;is true. The stuff that feels badly&#8211;life is random and meaningless, you can&#8217;t rise above your past&#8211;isn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>This is really all you have to go off of when you think about it&#8211;you can&#8217;t keep trying to do this work from the level of the mind, keep looking for rational, logical explanations before accepting these ideas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changing your reality by way of changing your energy will be <strong><em>very hard<\/em> <\/strong>if you remain locked into your mind and doing things its way&#8211;it will be virtually impossible to make these inner shifts because it won\u2019t allow for them. And if your energy doesn&#8217;t change significantly, neither can your reality&#8211;this is a simple fact you won&#8217;t ever be able to find a work around for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some of those choices:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I do the things that will get me where I need to be, or do I let my fear keep me stuck?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I make the changes and decisions required of me to see the things I want to see in my life, or do I continue to see the discomfort they may cause as a valid excuse not to make them?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I start being the person who is the match to the money, the relationships, the successful business, the opportunities and all that other stuff I want or do I stay exactly the same, taking a totally passive role in this whole process, hoping the Universe will swoop in and fix everything for me?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I deal with my emotional shit that is dominating my vibration or do I keep suppressing it because it\u2019s scary, and according to my mind, that\u2019s a perfectly valid reason not to?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I see all my experience as neutral feedback and learn from it, or do I huff and puff I don\u2019t like what\u2019s happening and I get to feel badly until something changes?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I let myself get mad about every little thing I don\u2019t like, or do I gain some perspective and realize most stuff is not actually worth getting upset about?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I just keep trying to attract what I don\u2019t have because then I won\u2019t have to deal with my feelings or do I actually focus on true inner transformation?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I embrace challenges and unwanted circumstances as an opportunity for growth ,and positive change, or do I maintain a constant state of resistance and lamenting \u2018what is?\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I choose to look beyond my unwanted circumstances to what I would rather see instead, or do I use them as justification for my negative feelings and beliefs?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I keep insisting my mind knows best what I want or can I concede it has no idea what would actually make me happy?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do I insist on attaching to specific representations of my manifestations or do I remain open to all possibilities?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are not easy choices to make. Our conditioning runs deep. There\u2019s a part of us that believes our mind may be \u2018right\u2019 about everything and we\u2019re afraid to abandon it for perspectives and ways of being that are unfamiliar, of which we may not have much \u2018proof\u2019 of them being \u2018right.\u2019 But this is where that emotional guidance system comes in, this is where the faith and trust comes in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your life doesn\u2019t look like you want it, if there are elements of your being that aren\u2019t ideal and get in the way of your happiness and well-being, something needs to change and that can be uncomfortable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is some effort involved in making these inner shifts&#8211;these things feel hard and uncomfortable and to the mind, that\u2019s a perfectly valid reason not to do something but it\u2019s really not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your mind doesn\u2019t have to rule you. But you\u2019ll have to <em>consciously participate<\/em> in the process of breaking free&#8230;it\u2019s <em>really<\/em> not so bad and isn\u2019t as hard as it probably seems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the first step is making a true \u2018commitment\u2019 to doing so, and once this happens, you\u2019ll see all sorts of changes that will motivate you to keep doing it, you\u2019ll manifest any help you need; and before you know it, you\u2019ll be a whole different person. Just accept it will be uncomfortable at times, and in doing that, this discomfort won\u2019t stop you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Succeeding\u2019 with all this will always come down to conscious choice. Your mind can only keep messing with you if you let it&#8230;you\u2019ve got all the power.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Turn<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>What did you think of the post?
