What\u2019s your opinion of Abraham Teachings on the topic \u201cfeeling good\u201d ? I always think and feel there\u2019s more to manifesting than just feeling good. I see everyday people laughing and having fun, however it seems like they have a \u201climit\u201dof manifesting good things. So, how do you increase your degree of mainfesting?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The short answer is yes&#8230;that really is it at the core because our energy is what creates our reality. We manifest what we feel predominantly, and if we feel love, trust, joy, peace, contentment and all those other warm fuzzies, we have no choice but to manifest experiences that mirror back those feelings to us. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What we really want at the end of the day is to feel good; we want all the things we want because we believe having them will provide these much sought after feelings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No matter what it is we want, the feelings we think they will give us all pretty much boil down to the catch-all feeling of \u2018happiness.\u2019 We feel happy and we will manifest things that match that energy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the long answer is a bit more \u2018complex\u2019 if you will, not because manifesting is complex, but because us humans are. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I love this question because it allows me to dive into one of my favorite topics regarding the law of attraction: the differences, sometimes vast, between the theory and reality of manifesting. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re Bringing a Lot of \u2018Stuff\u2019 To the Table<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u2018theory\u2019 of manifesting doesn\u2019t really take into account <em>the degree<\/em> of \u2018kinkiness\u2019 most of us tend to have in our energy by time a teaching like the law of attraction enters our orbit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is recognition of our \u2018limiting\u2019 beliefs for sure, and we are told we must release them, and believe anything is possible, the Universe has our back and we are powerful creators who can shape the course of our lives by way of managing our vibration. All 1,000 percent true. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Intuitively something feels right about this; intellectually we may understand this way of thinking may have some validity, especially if we familiarize ourselves with the various theories of quantum physics that lend credence to the law of attraction actually being a real \u2018thing.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But as for actually buying into these beliefs with all our heart, when we may have little to <em>no<\/em> evidence of their truth in our own lives, when we have been believing the <em>exact opposite<\/em> beliefs for perhaps decades&#8230;well, that\u2019s a tall order. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have amassed lots of \u2018proof\u2019 our negative beliefs are true since our mind doesn\u2019t understand the energy came first then the manifestation. It looks at what has happened and uses that to draw conclusions about what is true and not true, how the world works, and that of which we are and aren\u2019t capable. It\u2019s doing things <em>completely backwards<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We overcomplicate changing our belief system to a degree that is almost comical, when all it really comes down to is choosing not to believe things that feel badly to us anymore, and <em>that willingness<\/em> opens the door to manifestations that serve the dual purpose of showing us the validity of the better-feeling beliefs, which in turn, automatically refutes the truth of the negative beliefs we want to release. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And another major issue belief-wise is want to believe the law of attraction is real, and there is hope, but if we are honest, we just aren\u2019t sure. And obviously we can\u2019t reap the benefit of all these awesome beliefs if we don\u2019t actually think they are true. It doesn&#8217;t matter how much you <em>want<\/em> to believe in the law of attraction, it only matters how much you <em>actually do<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So to just take this huge leap into this whole new way of being, thinking, feeling and believing, adopting a seemingly radical view of ourselves and how the world works overnight, probably won\u2019t happen, <em>and that\u2019s okay<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We may make smaller shifts at first, but they\u2019re enough to get us moving in the right direction. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Feeling \u2018Good\u2019 May Be a Stretch<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While there may be some of you out there whose lives were going along swimmingly already, and you are using this teaching to maximize the awesomeness of the human experience, just manifesting for shits and giggles, most of us are drawn to this teaching because we are unhappy, we feel lack in a particular area, or often many areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of us turn to this teaching when the shit has really hit the fan, and we\u2019re desperately seeking a particular change; there is a circumstance that is really, really challenging us, like a longstanding crappy relationship with money,or a serious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/heal-mind-heal-body\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health problem<\/a>; and the fear, anger or other negative emotions are constant companions threatening to overwhelm us. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And we happen upon the law of attraction, and we are told that we need to feel \u2018good\u2019 right here, right now, no matter what your circumstances may be. They are just a reflection of energy, and as long as you change the energy, the circumstances will change. Easy, peasy. That is all there is to it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And this is all true, through and through, without a doubt. We have <em>no choice<\/em> but to change our energy in the present moment if we want to manifest something different moving forward. If we keep focusing on \u2018what is\u2019 and stewing in that energy, we can only manifest more of it. That\u2019s how the law of attraction works. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But if our circumstances have been the source of our unhappiness for months, years, our whole lives even, to just let that all go, and feel good no matter what, to just drop the deeply ingrained habit of living outside in, and letting our feelings be determined by what is happening in our lives, is certainly possible, but unlikely. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Theory doesn\u2019t take into account the incredible amount of momentum we have behind our negative thoughts, feelings and beliefs; it doesn\u2019t take into account how second nature our negativity is. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not just a switch we flip; again, totally possible, but if it were that easy, we would have abandoned these bad-feeling beliefs and feelings long ago. <strong><em>But mind you, while it might not be super-easy to do this, it isn\u2019t as hard as we make it out to be either. Not by a long shot. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is important to recognize that transitioning to feeling positive emotion more predominantly, without having a \u2018reason\u2019 to justify feeling this way, can be more of a process. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part of that process often involves letting yourself feel the negative feelings you feel now so they don\u2019t have so much power anymore, so they aren\u2019t the force driving your work with this teaching&#8211;trying to manifest from a space of not liking where we are now is a much harder road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But, don\u2019t take this as permission to keep wallowing in your negativity, and blaming your current experience for your feelings; you can\u2019t insist on holding onto your crappy beliefs, using your experience up until now as justification for them. We tend to do this quite a bit, and we aren\u2019t often aware of it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And sometimes we are fully aware we are doing this, and well, good luck manifesting a different reality if that is how you are going to roll. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to remember that <em>any<\/em> shift in your feeling state can open up new possibilities, and you don\u2019t necessarily need to make the leap to unbridled joy every waking moment. I imagine for most of you, that vibration may seem light years from where you are now. &#8216;Good&#8217; might be a stretch and you might need to just start with &#8216;better.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make no mistake though&#8230;that crazy-high vibe <em>already<\/em> exists within you; there is no need to build it from scratch. But there is probably a lot of layers of \u2018ick\u2019 that need to be peeled away, and that tends to happen gradually. But gradually doesn\u2019t automatically mean slowly, however. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So you are not being tasked with making these huge strides in your emotional state, <em><strong>but you do have to be willing to allow yourself to feel better independent of what is happening in your life<\/strong><\/em>; you do have to be willing to look past \u2018what is\u2019 to what you prefer, and make a conscious effort to activate the energy that will allow you to receive the latter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have to be willing to embrace an idea to which your mind is <em>very<\/em> resistant&#8211;the current circumstances of your life are <em>not<\/em> why you are unhappy; you are unhappy because of the story it created about them, the meaning it has assigned them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drop the story, drop the meaning, and you would be amazed at how much better you can start feeling instantly, even if <em>not one damn thing<\/em> in your life has changed yet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have to be willing to make a real, conscious effort to do all you can to enjoy your life <em>now<\/em>, no longer insisting you can\u2019t feel better in any real way unless you get the money, the husband, the new job, the clients, or whatever else your mind insists is a necessary precursor to happiness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We <em>really do<\/em> get to choose how we feel; we get to choose what we believe. We get to decide if our past will make us bitter, angry, resentful, depressed, or hopeless about the future, or if we can reframe the experiences and see how they may have benefitted us, what we can learn from them. I know this can be an annoying perspective to our ego\/mind, but that <em>doesn\u2019t make it any less true. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Important Balance We Must Strike<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Again, in the theory of manifesting, we set some intentions, and know the Universe got the memo. We are detached from how it is going to happen; we know it will come and we can just enjoy life now, cocooned in all these wonderful feelings that come with trust, faith, and recognizing our power and the true nature of reality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>It\u2019s<\/em> all good; <em>we\u2019re<\/em> all good. No obsessing; no worrying; no getting in our own way by trying to manipulate circumstances, taking actions from a misaligned space, messing up our vibe by making decisions from a space of fear. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We don\u2019t just intellectually understand the principles, they are actually a guiding force in our life; we are actually living them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But in reality, this total \u2018set it and forget it\u2019 approach is not so easy. We\u2019re not feeling \u2018good.\u2019 We don\u2019t fully believe; we aren\u2019t living from this space. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are not aligned with these things or we would have them already. We are going to think about what we want a lot, and we have to pay attention to the energy we are throwing out there when doing so. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have lots of practice thinking about these things in a \u2018negative\u2019 way&#8211;thinking these things can\u2019t happen for us, thinking all these outside factors, like other people can get in the way or must be in place for the thing to happen, past failures,etc\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We worry a lot about \u2018how\u2019 the thing will happen, and if we can\u2019t figure it out, that doesn\u2019t sit well with us. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, if all this is going on, we have to address it; we can\u2019t keep sending out this contradictory energy with such frequency&#8211;it will easily drown out any fledgling positivity you may be successfully activating. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is where tools come in, like affirmations and vision boards; this is where some sort of \u2018ritual\u2019 can serve you well. These things help activate energies that may have been largely absent in your life, energies that you may not be able to evoke so easily given the current circumstances. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember they have <em>no<\/em> power in and of themselves, but for most of us, they will play a pivotal role in making these energetic shifts since they <em>help change<\/em> our energy. These tools facilitate conscious engagement with your energy, which will be very important because we have largely been operating on auto-pilot, being driven by really shitty programming. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We don\u2019t really trust it can be so easy as to just set the intention and that is enough. We think there must be \u2018work\u2019 we need to do, and if we aren\u2019t doing \u2018enough\u2019 it might not happen. So, again, using the tools, having some sort of \u2018ritual\u2019 can be helpful because it makes you think you are \u2018doing\u2019 something and you can relax a bit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we find ourselves going off into negative thought patterns, and are feeling badly, we usually need to do something to snap us out of it, to get ourselves back on track. Mind you, this doesn\u2019t mean monitoring your energy every waking moment. But there has to be an awareness of how you are feeling overall. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But, with all that being said, we need to be careful not to go overboard with all the energetic \u2018work.\u2019 More is not necessarily better. Doing too much usually works against us because it can make us focus too much on lack and that the \u2018thing\u2019 is missing. It often creates a lot of anxiety. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we get too caught up with the tools and other forms of \u2018doing\u2019, we lose sight of the fact that manifesting is not an action, it is not something that happens on the level of \u2018doing.\u2019 We get so caught up with the tools and techniuqes and we totally lose sight of whether our energy is <em>actually<\/em> changing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can do your energetic \u2018work,\u2019 you can set your intentions, you can want what you want,<strong><em> but you also need to just go out and live your life<\/em><\/strong>, finding enjoyment now in whatever ways you can. Don\u2019t get consumed by your manifestations; stop making them so \u2018precious.\u2019 I know this might not seem possible, but it is. <em>It really, really is<\/em>. It just comes down to making a choice. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I talk about general vibrational management a lot because it is probably the <em>most<\/em> beneficial \u2018tool\u2019 yet the one we employ the <em>least<\/em>. This basically boils down to doing whatever you can to feel better overall, in any shape or form. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not specific to any one particular manifestation. This is where you can make great strides in the \u2018feel good\u2019 department, and reap all the benefits it brings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember what I said earlier&#8211;the core feelings that lie at the heart of any desired manifestation are all pretty much the same. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It doesn\u2019t involve any \u2018official\u2019 personal development\/energetic \u2018tools\u2019 like affirmations, tapping, scripting, visualizing,vision boards, balancing your chakras, dialoguing with your inner child, chanting, crystals, etc\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is simple things, things that at least on the surface, wouldn\u2019t seem to make a difference in whether you\u2019ll manifest more money or a boyfriend, but can make a huge difference because of how they will benefit your overall sense of well-being and happiness, your overall energy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Things like taking good care of your body, making time for your hobbies, prioritizing stress management, setting healthy boundaries with people, making more time for yourself, giving yourself permission to do things you enjoy, scaling back on commitments, saying no without guilt, spending more time with friends and family,dropping the pain in the ass clients, volunteering, spending more time in nature (which has an awesome vibration),watching funny movies and TV shows, watching the news less,spending less time on social media, finally taking that vacation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>How you feel <em>overall<\/em> colors how you feel about <em>specific<\/em> areas of your life.<\/p>\n<p>Think about when you are having a bad day, and how that influences how you feel about your single status, your body, your job, your finances or a problem you may currently be dealing with. Everything sucks, nothing is working out. You&#8217;re going to die alone. You&#8217;ll never get out of debt. You&#8217;ll be stuck at this dead end job forever.<\/p>\n<p>Then you wake up the next day after a good night&#8217;s sleep and feel so much better. You see everything through a whole different lens. Even though <em>nothing<\/em> has changed in any of these areas, and your life is <em>exactly<\/em> the same as it was 24 hours ago you don&#8217;t feel so badly; you feel optimistic and hopeful. You know things will be okay, will work out somehow.<\/p>\n<p>Any shift in your overall energy will benefit you tremendously in all areas of your life.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About Other People<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I also wanted to address the part of the question where the person observed others\u2019 seeming limited ability to manifest even though they seem to be having fun, feeling good,etc\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First off, do your best to not pay attention to other people&#8211;it is common to develop quite the interest in other people\u2019s lives and what they do and don\u2019t manifest. This will not be helpful and you will draw all sorts of very faulty conclusions based on the limitations of not being able to know someone\u2019s energy and what their manifestations mean to them(they are very, very personal, and often multi-layered),\u00a0 and the even further limitation of viewing these things through the lens of your own perceptions, assumptions,etc\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is <em>no way<\/em> you can ever know the whole story. Other people don\u2019t matter as far as what is possible for you, so just focus on yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second, just because someone <em>seems<\/em> happy, doesn\u2019t mean they <em>are<\/em>. Seeing someone have fun, or laughing at a given point in time in no way indicates their overall level of happiness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People can generally be pretty happy and enjoy life, but not expect much out of it, and because they don\u2019t expect much, they don\u2019t get much, and they just do the best with what they have got. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A very religious person for example, might believe that God wants them to not have a lot of money because it will teach them some important lesson, so they accept that and make the best of their life as a poor person. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They can be generally happy but have tons of limiting beliefs when it comes to money, relationships, of what we humans are generally capable of creating. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, some people might be perfectly happy with their life the way it is, they don\u2019t necessarily want more. We think we wouldn\u2019t be happy if our life was like that, but that doesn\u2019t mean everyone feels that way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Again, just don&#8217;t go there&#8230;it won&#8217;t be helpful and will just hinder you.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Turn<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>What did you think of the post?
