Like I mentioned in the first post, these lessons are applicable to any type of manifestation, not just business. So no matter what you have your sights set on, you’ll walk away with something to chew on for sure.

But first I did want to address something in regards to what I wrote in part one. The examples I gave about how I went about things, such as not checking stats, or not feeling compelled to read up on various aspects of how to blog, etc…are not things I am saying you should do too, to get the same results.

These were things that I personally didn’t feel drawn to do, and as you know, I am all about following our feelings. The main point I wanted to make there was about letting your feelings be your guide. It is about evaluating how something makes us feel personally, and then deciding if it is something we think is right for us, or that we want to do.

So, just wanted to clear that up because I know ultimately people want concrete actions to take that will guarantee they get what they want. And when they read something that may seem contrary to what they believe, or whatever, they get all uncomfortable, thinking they may be doing something wrong, or that they shouldn’t do what they want, because someone that seems to ‘know better,’ is telling them to do the opposite.

Again, the main point was about doing what feels right to you.

Okay, back to part two…enjoy!

Don’t Get Attached to One Channel

Oy, our attachment to specific manifestations, or things coming through one specific channel, is a major manifesting cockblocker for sure. The energy of attachment is not very LOA-friendly, because attachment triggers all sorts of energies, that are the polar opposite of the ones that would allow what we want to come into our life–at least in a way that is easier, and requires less effort.

It is really easy to get attached to channels when it comes to business because we are providing certain products or services, and naturally, we expect to make our money through said providing. When I first started my coaching, I had the idea that all my money would come through coaching.

That is what I wanted to do, and naturally I focused on flowing some energy towards that goal, so I would get clients. And it’s understandable to put that focus on our expected channels of income. But knowing what we know about the law of attraction, getting attached to these channels, is a big no no.

While I wanted to make money with coaching, I also realized that coaching was just one channel through which I could earn income. I was open to earning money through other avenues. I didn’t make it the end all be all of how I would earn money.

I recently started the e-book series and that should provide some nice passive income. I want to create a product…I have started working on it but not sure when I’ll finish it

There are countless other streams of income that I probably haven’t conceived of yet that I may implement some time in the future; there are people who may approach me at some point with some sort of opportunity that would allow me to earn money.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t want to make coaching my sole source of income because the more clients I had, the less flexibility and free time I would have; and the strong desire for flexibility and freedom was my main driver in creating the life I have for myself.

I love coaching; I’m really good at what I do and I love helping people transform their lives. But I wouldn’t want to do it 40 hours a week. My main goal is not to get as many clients as I can possibly handle—that would be a huge drain on my energy, and I want to give my clients the best of me at all times.

Went off on a bit of a tangent there. Back to my main point. Do your best to not get attached to one channel of income or one way that you believe your manifestation has to come. This doesn’t mean that you won’t succeed with this channel to the fullest or get the maximum results possible. It just means developing an energy of detachment, knowing that this isn’t the only shot or opportunity available to you, and that you can get what you want in a variety of ways.

To Act or Not to Act

Ah, the role of action in the attraction process. This is something that can really cause us a lot of confusion and even more anxiety…isn’t learning all about conscious creation great?

Here’s the thing about working more consciously with your energy: the more you are aligned with what you want, the less you do have to do, because we end up eliminating a lot of action that is coming from a space of trying to force a result, make things happen, control, manipulate and all that good stuff.

Getting what we want becomes more effortless, but effortless doesn’t always translate to doing nothing. You are still going to take a variety of actions, but they are with a totally different energy. These actions don’t feel hard or forced—they feel easy and light. You want to take them.

If you are building a business, for example, there is lots of stuff you are going to do—you won’t build a business by staring out the window all day. You will create content for your blog; you will market your business in various ways. You may go to networking events. So on and so forth.

We have a belief system in which we think action is an important part of the equation, and the idea of not doing much won’t make us feel very good; it will make us doubt we will get what we want. And the combo of not feeling good, and doubting we will get what we want, is not a good one, as far as manifesting is concerned.

So, we will feel compelled to do certain things, and it will help us create the expectation we will get what we want; and that is always a good thing.

But it is also absolutely true our energy is our true point of creation and lots of things will come together for you without having done anything.

I’ll give you a great example from my own life that I know I talked about on my podcast but don’t think I ever wrote about. As you know I blog for the Huffington Post now…talk about an awesome opportunity for increasing exposure. It is one of the most popular websites in the world.

Know how I got that? By having a random conversation with someone who already blogged for the site, asked if I wanted to write for them too, and directly contacted Arianna Huffington herself, introducing me. Not a whole lot of action and effort there right?

For the most part ( I’ve had my moments too), I have used the principles of the law of attraction to build my business. I can’t say that I have worked ‘really hard.’ I have taken some actions but I do my best to do ones that feel good.

I belong to a network of bloggers and we promote each other’s content. I have some blogs that I read regularly and I often leave comments, and people have found me that way. People have approached me to participate in guest posting, or share my thoughts on blogging, that they include with a bunch of other bloggers, and I get exposed to a whole new audience of people. In all of these instances, people sought me out. I didn’t go looking for the opportunities.

If I felt inspired to go look for opportunities I wouldn’t hesitate, however. In fact, I did get inspiration to join a site that connects podcasts hosts and guests, and I have already booked a couple of shows. I think it will be fun, and I think I’ll be really good at it. I’m not doing it because I think I have to do it, or I should do it. I want to do it.

I’ll be honest though: Creating in this fashion may not be the quickest way to do things like grow a business, or make your blog more popular, because there is a lot of conditioning you are contending with, that is telling you this is not the way you are supposed to be doing things.

I probably could have built things up more quickly if I adopted the ‘hard work’ paradigm and made myself take more action. But that didn’t feel good to me. I knew I didn’t have to necessarily do things that way.

Sure, like anyone else, I want my blog to have lots of readers, and I want to be financially successful. But getting as many readers as possible and making as much money as possible aren’t my goals.

I really don’t have any specific goals now that I think about it. There is no five-year plan for me. In all honesty, there are times when I don’t really know what the hell I’m doing, but I just go with it.

Again, this is about what works for me…if you have goals and benchmarks and what have you, it’s cool. Just make sure you feel as good as possible in how you are going about crafting your life.

Like I mentioned before, we have a belief system in which we think action plays a role, and we will all probably do more than we need, to get what we want. Just try to make those actions feel as good as possible.

Be willing to step away from action when it is feeling really badly. When things aren’t going well, don’t think you need to work harder or take more action…you are already way out of alignment with what you want, and this isn’t going to fix it. You need to pull back and go within and see what is happening.

When inspired actions strike, act on them, even if it feels uncomfortable. Be comfortable with not acting when you don’t feel good. If you allow yourself to step away, you will regroup energetically, and you will likely get all sorts of inspiration that will get you back on track. You will probably feel inspired to take a variety of actions that will help move you closer to where you want to be.

Make Your Own Definition of Success and Happiness

If you really want to manifest the life that will make you happiest, it is crucial you define what success and happiness mean to you. What does that represent to you? What does that look like?

I know this is one of those personal development cliches, but I think it is something that most of us aren’t considering as fully as we should. We still get caught up in the conditioning of our family, culture and what have you, as to what constitutes success and happiness, and what we ‘should’ want.

Like I said with my coaching before….I love doing it, but I wouldn’t want to do it full-time. Part of my definition of success is having lots of free time, to do whatever it is I feel like doing.

And that desire for free time could possibly mean not making as much money as I am capable of making. But again, my goal is not to make as much money as humanly possible.

I’m all for maximizing my income, but I don’t want to become obsessed with making money. I don’t know what my ideal amount is, quite yet, and I am always open to more. I know that if I am aligned, whatever amount of money is required for me to live the life I want, will come. I am not concerned with manifesting it all right now. I have not declared some arbitrary amount as my ideal income, like making six figures or whatever.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. If it makes you feel good to set specific amounts to make monthly, or whatever, go for it. But for most of us, those types of specific goals, when it comes to money, can trigger a lot of resistance.

Over the years, as a freelance writer, my income fluctuated quite a bit, and there were times the amount of money I made wouldn’t be considered very much at all, and I might not be considered a ‘success’. But it was still more than I needed, so it was all good. I was still able to live my life just as I pleased, without any interruption, so that seemed like a success to me.

The reason I focused on money here is because I know a lot of us tie money to happiness, and making a lot of money is considered a primary aspect of ‘success.’ And there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to have money.

But just be careful of getting too caught up with the money aspect of ‘success.’ You want the money because of what you think it can give you, and money may not be the only way acquire those things.

You may find you don’t need much money at all to live the life you want to live, and if you are living the life you want to live, you are a success, regardless of the balance in your bank account.

When you are clear on what your ideal life is, the actions you need to take become a lot clearer. The decisions you need to make become a lot easier to make. That clarity creates an energy that allows all the things that are part and parcel of that ideal life to make their way in more easily.

You become much more comfortable following your intuition and letting your feelings be the primary guiding force, and that will always serve us extremely well, in our manifesting journey.

So, that’s that…hope you enjoyed the post, and got some helpful nuggets.

Your Turn…

What did you think of this post?
