{"id":2824,"date":"2015-05-18T04:03:33","date_gmt":"2015-05-18T08:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/?p=2824"},"modified":"2021-08-02T07:01:58","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T07:01:58","slug":"law-of-attraction-block-allowing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/law-of-attraction-block-allowing\/","title":{"rendered":"Law of Attraction: 4 Ways You Block that Delightful Space of Allowing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You would think learning about this whole law of attraction thing would make for an easier time getting into a emotional and mental state that is conducive to attracting what we want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But, the process of understanding law of attraction in theory to actually thinking, feeling and behaving in an LOA-friendly fashion is a process, a process that never really ends actually.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This is because there will always be something new we want to create, and we&#8217;ll probably have to do a bit of inner work to become a match.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">New forms of resistance may pop up that may have not been triggered previously,etc&#8230; But I digress&#8230;I do that a lot don&#8217;t I? There are just little nuggets of wisdom that I just have to slip in sometimes that are kind of related but not really.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Anyway, because we are faced with shifting beliefs we have held for a long time, beliefs that created loads and loads of experiences that our mind just can&#8217;t let go of as &#8216;proof&#8217; they are real, not just in our own experience, but that of other people, we come to find that we just can&#8217;t toss them aside , no matter how much we get LOA in theory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We find that we have a hell of a lot of momentum behind our negative thoughts and feelings, and it isn&#8217;t so easy just to switch gears. We default back to them constantly because we are just so used to operating in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You may find that a lot of my intros on posts related to law of attraction usually touch on this idea of the space we are coming from when we begin this work. It isn&#8217;t because I can&#8217;t think of anything else to write.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It&#8217;s because I really want you guys to remember what you are dealing with here. You are not just trying to &#8216;think positively.&#8217; You are working on adopting a whole new paradigm of how reality works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">That&#8217;s some heavy stuff my friends, and you have to remember that. Remembering that will make it a lot easier to truly shift your energy because you will realize that even though you may not be doing it as quickly as you would like, that you are doing it at all, is awesome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You&#8217;ll be more compassionate with yourself. You won&#8217;t try to force huge shifts that you know you can&#8217;t sustain. You&#8217;ll be less resistant to the resistance. You&#8217;ll make peace with the process and realize what is happening is normal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, with that said, here are four big issues that can really prevent us from moving into that space of allowing&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Not Giving Yourself True Permission to Feel Better Now<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Anyone who has been reading my blog knows how much I stress the importance of feeling good (or at least better) NOW in order to get the things you want. Why? Because NO MATTER what you want, you are after feelings, and when you can start feeling all those warm fuzzies now as best you can, you will start manifesting a crap load of stuff that feels just like them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">That is why us folk who teach people about LOA stress not getting super-attached to specifics. Whatever your mind has currently concocted is just one representation of the energy you hope to bring into your life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But this whole feeling good now thing can be easier said than done. Our bastard brain likes to remind you of all the reasons you should be feeling anything but good. It feels very justified in zeroing in on the aspects of your life that are not to your liking, and all your problems. It feels compelled to put your attention to what is wrong in this moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And as such, it makes very compelling arguments as to why you should not feel better now, why you are entitled to complain and feel sorry for yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Now, just to be clear, I am not suggesting you just try to get all happy and ignore what you don&#8217;t like or pretend you are happy if you aren&#8217;t. One of the keys to truly shifting our energy is actually letting ourselves feel our crappy feelings and admit what we don&#8217;t like.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But, once we do that, we have to make a real effort to allow ourselves to feel better now, even if the things we don&#8217;t like have not gravitated out of our experience yet. Notice how I said feel better, not necessarily good. For many of us, good may be a bit far away. But, better is always within our reach, no matter how far down the ladder we are starting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This is something we can really struggle with, and we get this in theory, but we often aren&#8217;t giving ourselves full permission to be happier now, regardless of our current reality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I have been guilty of this many times. I believed I was feeling good now, but when I took a closer look at my feelings and how I was focusing, I realized I actually wasn&#8217;t.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I realized I was really holding onto the stuff I didn&#8217;t like and was using that as a justification. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I realized I was waiting on outside circumstances to change to feel better. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I realized I was still living largely reactively, feeling good when something happened that I liked and going back to feeling badly when something unwanted happened, or not much of anything was happening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are feeling like not much is happening manifesting-wise, you have to honestly assess if you have been allowing yourself to feel better or if the majority of your focus has still been on what you don&#8217;t want and don&#8217;t like. You have to see if you have still been largely basing how you feel on what is happening outside of you.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Worrying Feeling Better Now Will Cancel the Order<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This very common worry stems from a misunderstanding of how law of attraction works. We don&#8217;t get what we want because we have that feeling of want around it. We don&#8217;t get what we want by hating our life as it is now and putting all our attention on everything that sucks. We don&#8217;t get what we want by thinking about it all the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We get what we want by believing we can have it. We get what we want by becoming a match to the energy now. Again, that is why it is so important to work on feeling better now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, feeling better now and developing a more positive perspective on your life now won&#8217;t cancel the order. It will actually make it come more quickly. And again, it may not be the exact thing you have in mind, but it will feel like whatever good feelings you are feeling now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Universe knows what you want, and will deliver it when you are a match to it and at the perfect time. It won&#8217;t see you being all happy now and conclude you must not want the cash, the husband or a better job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This awesome force is neutral, and just brings us things that mirror back our predominant energy. It is not a force that decides whether we can have what we want or not, and will make things better for us because we are voicing our displeasure for how things are now. It doesn&#8217;t view our experience in that way&#8230;it is just input and output.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It&#8217;s not like a mom that might withhold toys and other goodies because her kid seems content with things now, and doesn&#8217;t want to spoil him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are feeling good, warm, fuzzy, light and all that jazz, it has no choice but to bring you things that match all that goodness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I am sure a lot of you can relate to this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You try to start feeling better about your crappy job and a jab of fear strikes you heart that that better job may not come along if you get too happy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You start feeling whole and complete even as a single person, and you worry it will block a relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You start to feel abundant now even if you don&#8217;t have much money, and you worry the Universe will think you don&#8217;t need money, but you do, you want it oh so badly, and you get all panicky.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And then we knock ourselves out of alignment with what we want, and start focusing on what still. isn&#8217;t here. We let that sense of lack and dissatisfaction rise back up to the surface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This fear also largely stems from our insistence we know best what we want and only certain things can truly make us feel better, the things that our mind has currently come up with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Feeling better now freaks out your brain a lot. It likens this shift to &#8216;giving up&#8217; on what you want, and if you give up on what you want, it means you won&#8217;t be happy because you have decided these certain things will bring this much sought-after feeling, and then if you don&#8217;t get them, oh god, it&#8217;s going to be awful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Even though you are actually feeling happier now is irrelevant&#8230;it is very attached to the specific things you want that aren&#8217;t here yet, and believes this sense of wanting is the key to your manifestation materializing, when in reality, it is the very thing getting in the way most. Your brain is kind of nutso.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Not Fully Realizing How You are Truly Focusing<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Shifting the negative beliefs that are blocking what we want from coming to us in the easiest, most joyful way possible is something that tends to happen gradually. We make some shifts, we get some cool shit. We shift a bit more, and we get some more cool shit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The more proof we manifest, the more we believe this whole LOA thing is real, and the easier it gets to feel better, think better-feeling thoughts, and release what is no longer serving us. What we believe is possible for us expands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And because we may not just be able to drop all our limiting beliefs immediately, and just totally disregard all the &#8216;proof&#8217; we have amassed over our lives that these limiting beliefs are true, we may not always be focusing as positively as we think we are.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sure, we get in theory our beliefs created our experience and that these unwanted manifestations are simply proof of what we focus on expands and nothing more, not proof these beliefs have any validity, and we accept this premise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We have been genuinely focusing more positively more of the time, and have been gaining some nice momentum behind the beliefs that support getting what we want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But, the old beliefs and programming is still running strong in the background. You may still be focusing on what you don&#8217;t want a lot of the time, not fully realizing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The words we use can be a good clue. For example, let&#8217;s say you live with your parents and are hoping to get a better job so you can afford to get our own place. When you think about what you want, or say it out loud, you say things like &#8216;you can&#8217;t wait to live alone.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There is a good chance there may be some negative charge around the word &#8216;alone&#8217; for you. You may still be thinking more along the lines of &#8216;I can&#8217;t wait to not have to live with anyone&#8217; rather than &#8216;I can&#8217;t wait to start my fabulous new life in my fabulous new apartment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You are still focusing on what you don&#8217;t like in your current reality, rather than what you want to create moving forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Another clue we may not be focusing as positively as we think is big fluctuations in our energy resulting from changes in our outside experience. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you find your happiness plummeting the moment something happens that you don&#8217;t like or makes you think what you want isn&#8217;t possible, you probably don&#8217;t have as much momentum behind the energy of what you want as you may think.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When we are really in the zone energetically, we don&#8217;t get knocked out of that vibration as easily.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We are all guilty of doing this sometimes&#8230;after all, we have resistance, we are very attached to certain outcomes and how things must happen, we don&#8217;t fully trust..yada, yada, yada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But, the stronger the reaction to these types of situations, the more you need to work on building that positive momentum in any way you can.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Forgetting the Universe Knows (Better than You) What You Want<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">What we want is written all over our energy field. The Universe knows. Big you knows and is ready and willing to help you get there if you let her&#8230;but I digress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It has been firmly established. In fact, the Universe knows better than you what you want. Seriously it does.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And if we can remember this little wisdom nugget, it becomes a hell of a lot easier to move into a space of allowing. It reduces that need to control, and try to force a result through a specific channel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You don&#8217;t have to worry about getting super-specific with the details&#8230;in fact, the less specific the better. Not only will that automatically open you up more easily to the energy that embodies what you want, you&#8217;ll activate less resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The more detail we put into our desired manifestations, the more there is for our brain to poke around in and question.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This nugget can be especially helpful when it comes to your visualizations if you use this tool. The pictures in your head are not bringing you what you want, the feelings those pictures are evoking in you are.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, while visualizing can be great for playing around with different scenarios, and helping you get more clear on what you want to attract, you don&#8217;t have to worry about putting together the perfect scenario, with nary a detail left out, lest the Universe won&#8217;t know exactly what you want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Let your visualizations go where ever they go; don&#8217;t worry about whether what you are thinking about is &#8216;plausible&#8217; or something you would actually do. It doesn&#8217;t matter. If it helps you cultivate the feelings that lie behind whatever it is you want, it&#8217;s all good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Think how much easier it would be to move into a space of allowing when you really nurture that trust the Universe will bring you all sorts of awesome things that you know you will love. Sure, maybe you have some certain things in mind, but you know there are so many other possibilities that are just as good or even better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Think how much easier it is to move into that space of allowing when you realize the Universe also knows what you DON&#8217;T want, and that it isn&#8217;t necessary to focus on any of that just to make sure you are being clear in communicating what you want to attract.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Imagine you wanted to redo the interior of your house but really can&#8217;t figure out how to proceed. You know what you don&#8217;t&#8217; want but are not quite sure what you do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But you have a really good friend who is super-creative and knows you really well. You give some input, but largely leave it up to her to figure out the details. Knowing how talented she is, and that she knows for sure what you don&#8217;t want, you trust that whatever she comes up with will be great, and will be perfect for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Just relax a bit and know that the Universe knows without a doubt what you want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, there you have it.
