{"id":1341,"date":"2014-11-05T07:30:47","date_gmt":"2014-11-05T12:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/?p=1341"},"modified":"2026-02-02T23:09:05","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T23:09:05","slug":"law-attraction-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/law-attraction-action\/","title":{"rendered":"Law of Attraction: To Act or Not to Act, That is the Question"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Getting LOA in theory , and actually applying it, can be a bit tricky sometimes. We have all these pesky limiting beliefs. This means of acquiring what we want is vastly different from how we have been taught to usually go about it. We have been instilled with the idea that we must work hard, and suffer, to reap the rewards. Getting what we want means doing a whole bunch of stuff we don\u2019t. We think we must fail over and over again to finally succeed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Now, you\u2019ll find plenty of people who bought into this belief system, and found some degree of success, sometimes quite a bit of it. And this is because through all the trials and tribulations, there was still the belief they would get what they wanted. But, this belief contained the idea that getting what we wanted requires all this toil and pain. Anything light and fun is not \u2018real\u2019 work and is to be engaged in when all the crappy stuff is out of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So that is exactly the situation that was attracted. Remember, our whole experience is a mirror of what is going on inside and <strong><em>whatever we believe will be true for us<\/em><\/strong>. So, if we believe that working really hard , doing a bunch of stuff we don\u2019t want to do, and feeling like crap much of the time, is necessary to achieve success, that is the exact scenario will set up for ourselves. We will encounter all sorts of obstacles and problems. Our progress will be slow and painful. We\u2019ll still be moving towards the desired outcome, but damn..it will be so much harder than it needs to be!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But, it doesn\u2019t have to be this way. When we align energetically with our desired outcomes, a lot of stuff happens without us directly doing anything\u2014the random meeting on the street that lands you a new customer, or the stranger who stopped to help you change your flat tire ends up becoming your husband . Think how many times you got something you wanted, but hadn\u2019t given a second thought to since that desire first struck. If you weren\u2019t thinking about it, you certainly weren\u2019t taking any specific actions to acquire it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When we are feeling good, we feel inspired to do certain things that feel good and light, and we get awesome results. In my own blogging efforts for example, I really love leaving comments on blogs in my niche, and responding in depth to questions my readers leave in their comments on my posts. I love sharing my insights and helping people, hence the reason I started this blog in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">One of my clients told me one of the reasons she wanted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelifemadetoorder.com\/blog\/blog\/happiness-consulting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">work with me<\/a> was because of the compassionate and helpful nature of my responses to my readers. I have had many readers tell me they found my blog through comments I left elsewhere. This strategy really works well for me. I don\u2019t do anything to promote my blog that doesn\u2019t feel good. I don\u2019t force myself to do things when I\u2019m not in a space of feeling good and light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, yes, there are actions being taken, but they are coming from a place of inspiration, not from a place of fear and trying to force certain outcomes. Taking action is fun actually\u2014we want to participate in our manifestations. Just sitting around and having everything come to us may sound good in theory, but probably would not feel all that satisfying.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, people that have found success through applying LOA consciously have probably taken <strong><em>plenty<\/em><\/strong> of actions, but they were things they wanted to do and things that felt good. They didn\u2019t have to do as much. They weren\u2019t forcing things and doing a bunch of stuff they didn\u2019t want to do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, if you are a bit confused over the whole action thing, you are not alone. Below are a few points in particular that I think can help with this thorny topic.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Action as a Form of Moving and Improving Energy<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When we talk about shifting our energy, and getting it moving in a good direction, that is usually something of the mental realm\u2014we try to work through limiting beliefs, create a sense of relief by acknowledging there are options that we can\u2019t see right now that will solve our issues, visualizing and what have you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When we are not feeling great, taking action is usually not done from a good place, so it is best to usually back off from it. We know that how we feel, and not what we do, is key to creation. But, this is not always the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sometimes taking action just for the sake of taking action can actually be a good thing. We have to make peace with the fact we have a belief system that tells us action is necessary to get what we want\u2014this will not necessarily stand in the way. And again, we will end up taking different actions because they feel inspired. Obviously certain actions are necessary\u2014I can\u2019t have a blog if I don\u2019t write any posts!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, if by taking action, we help create an expectation we will get what we want, by all means, go for it. The key is the <strong><em>feeling <\/em><\/strong>behind the actions. If it makes you feel good that you are taking an active role in manifesting what you want, fabulous. If you are taking action because you think it is necessary or from a place of fear, then not so fabulous. If you get attached to these channels as having to be the way that your desire will come, it is not good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">For example, if you are looking for a job, it might make you feel good to do a bit of networking, put your resume up on some job sites, and apply for at least one job a day. These channels may or may not be the way the job comes, and so long as you don\u2019t get attached to them, it\u2019s fine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are hoping to meet someone, it may make you feel good to take an active role by signing up for an online dating site, letting your friends set you up on blind dates, or start attending activities where you will be more likely to meet people with similar interests. Again, so long as you don\u2019t get attached to any of these ways as the way you will meet someone, these are good things to do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Remember, it is not what you do that gets you results, it is how you feel, so don\u2019t make yourself do things that don\u2019t feel good. Don\u2019t take action when you are in a low space energetically. This can be tough because when things don\u2019t seem to be coming together, we get that urge to take control and make things happen\u2014we start doing all this stuff, but all the while, we feel like absolute crap. <strong><em>Action from a place that doesn\u2019t feel good is simply interference. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When You Don\u2019t Know What You Want, or When You Want Many Things at Once<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Because we are so accustomed to a process of focusing on goals, taking actions and always keeping our \u2018eye on the prize,\u2019 we can get a bit worried about applying law of attraction when we either really don\u2019t know what we want, or we want so many things to change we don\u2019t know where to start. We still have that idea of needing to act in our minds, and this makes us all anxious. How can I take action when I don\u2019t even know what I want? I want so many things to change, what actions do I start taking now? AHHHHH\u2026.this is so hard!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Again\u2026it is all about how we feel. What happens on the outside is based on what is happening inside of us. Our existence is simply a mirror of our vibration, which is comprised of our feelings and beliefs. So, shifting that is all that we need to do to begin shifting our external experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This means that we can begin to see changes in various aspects of our life without focusing specifically on any one thing, or taking specific actions in any one area of our life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, if you are not sure what you want at all, take a look at what you are not liking about your life right now, and use that as a springboard. Remember that what you glean from this exercise is not in any way meant to be \u2018permanent\u2019 or put your life on some set path from here on out. You just want somewhere to direct your attention, and as things start changing, you can fine tune your vision, go for bolder things and what have you. Set some intentions, do some visualizations, and just focus on cultivating the feelings that lie behind whatever it is you have decided you would like in this moment. Take actions that feel good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When you feel like you want to change a lot of things, it is a good idea to focus on just one thing for now as far as shoring up energy, and feeling good is concerned. It might be a good idea to start with something that doesn\u2019t feel as hard or doesn\u2019t have as much resistance around it. Again, take any actions that feel inspired, but don\u2019t force it. You\u2019ll find that even if you may be focusing your attention on one particular area, you will start experiencing improvements in other areas as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Since it is your energy that is dictating your outside experience, any changes in that will change your whole experience. It is like squeezing a drop of dye into a glass of water\u2014once you mix it a bit, all the water changes color, not just some of it. So, barring any huge, monstrous resistance in a specific aspect of your life, you will find improvement all around. Some of it may be smaller manifestations, or more subtle differences in your experience, but positive change none the less, change that came without you doing a damn thing!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Aligning Energetically and Doing the Mental Work IS Action<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Once you begin to understand law of attraction, and see results in your own life, you really see the truth of it. It is like..WOW, it <strong><em>really is<\/em><\/strong> all about what I\u2019m feeling and what I believe. It is kind of crazy right? So, if this is something you buy into, and have seen in your own life to some degree, it becomes pretty clear that aligning ourselves energetically is certainly a form of action, a very important one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you think that just shoring up your energy, and shifting beliefs, means you are not doing anything, or not doing enough, you couldn\u2019t be more wrong. You are doing <strong><em>the<\/em><\/strong> most important work you can be doing to create a happier life, and bring the things you want into existence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Now, this can take a bit of time to fully buy into, and I get it. There will be times when you are still going to force things. You are going to dismiss the power of simply feeling good. It\u2019s okay\u2014you are still working on shifting your belief system. It can take awhile to release the hard work paradigm. We need to be patient with ourselves when working with LOA. We do plenty of things that slow down our manifestations, but once we start working with the process consciously, we get the ball rolling in the right direction. What we want is on its way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Anything unwanted that pops up is there to show us where we need to tweak things. Pay close attention to negative manifestations that arise soon after taking action from a bad feeling space\u2014this will serve as a hearty dose of proof that this isn\u2019t the way to go, and it will be easier for you to resist the urge to act from a bad-feeling space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, in a nutshell, you want to act in a way that makes you feel good. The amount of &#8216;work&#8217; you have to put into your desires is proportional to how much you believe is required&#8211;remember, our experience is always a reflection of our beliefs. As you raise your vibration, you will see how much starts happening with less effort, and it will be easier to truly buy into this idea. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Acting from a place of inspiration, and doing things that make you feel good, and you actually want to do, is a much more efficient way of going about the process of receiving the things you want. When you are in a space of forcing and manipulating, you want to pull back. When you get the sense you must do a certain thing to get your results, even if it feels badly, again, pull back. It is also important to remember whatever obstacles pop up are there to help you fine-tune your vibration and desires&#8211;they are not there to show you what you want is out of your grasp. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Never underestimate the importance of feeling good, and doing things that simply allow you to get into that space, whether it is playing with your pets, watching a funny TV show, going for a hike or anything else that is deemed &#8216;recreational, &#8216;mindless&#8217; and what have you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">I hope this gave you a bit of clarity on the whole action part of the process.
