One of the appeals of working consciously with law of attraction is the idea things we want can come to us with ease and joy. We don’t have to suffer; we don’t have to worry about anyone else being able to mess things up for us. It’s pretty freaking great how the whole system works.
But, as we all know, getting into a space of true allowing can be one of the hardest things to do. We have pesky resistance, issues of deserving, and a bunch of other crap gumming up the works.
It can take a bit of time to really shift our energy. Conscious decisions have to be made to start acting in a way that support our journey, rather than one that hinders it.
Here are a few tips that I think will be really helpful to get into a space of allowing, a space where great things can happen, provided we can spend more time there on a consistent basis.
To Manifest More Easily, You Have Give Things a Chance to Be Easy
Normally, when we are having some sort of issue, we try to dig in and figure out what’s wrong, find the solution, yada, yada, yada. And if it feels good,go for it.
But, when it doesn’t, which is usually how these scenarios play out, instead of just stepping away, we dig in even further. We keep trying; we keep searching; we keep wracking our brains. Our mind is telling us we have to get this resolved, that we can’t step away until we have secured that which we seek.
But, in this energetic state, we just keep moving further and further away from what we want. The negative momentum builds, the unpleasant feelings intensify, and what we want continues to elude us.
We know from an LOA standpoint we shouldn’t be doing this, but we just can’t seem to help ourselves. We are just so used to operating in this fashion, to believing we have to make things happen, we just can’t pull ourselves away.
And all the while, we are lamenting our inability to manifest as easily as we are told we can We are more than just a little annoyed things aren’t going a bit more smoothly, and asking why hasn’t the Universe presented us with what we need or want. Seriously???
Here’s the thing..if you want to move more easily into a state of allowing, if you want to manifest with greater ease, if you want to be able to pull back more and just let things get taken care of, you have to give the Universe a chance to work its magic.
You have to be willing to stop doing whatever you are doing that is making you feel all shitty, frustrated and anxious. The only way to grow your trust is the willingness to trust in the first place.
If you aren’t willing to do it, the more preferred means of getting results through simply aligning our energy, can’t make its way into your orbit. Remember the Universe can’t defy our vibration.
So, if you are getting annoyed trying to find a certain piece of information on the Internet, get offline and go do something else. In a lighter state, you may feel inspired to visit a certain site, or the perfect search term that brings you exactly what you want will pop into your head.
If you feel like you are about to burst with frustration trying to make a certain change to your blog that just doesn’t seem to be working, step back. When you are feeling a bit better, it is likely some little tweak that you have been overlooking will pop into your head, bringing everything together or you will stumble upon some website that gives you the information needed to fix it.
If it has been a huge pain in the ass trying to coordinate with a vendor to set up some service for your business, release this person, and when you are feeling more motivated, start looking for someone else, knowing you’ll find the perfect person.
If you are working on something for your business from a space completely lacking in inspiration, and it feels sucky and painful, be willing to walk away, knowing that inspiration will strike. And not only will it get done, it will come out a hundred times better than whatever crap you are probably cobbling together now.
If you have a pain in the ass client, get rid of him; you can’t attract better matches that are more pleasant to work with if you keep putting up with difficult people. It will just bring you more of the same.
If you have been forcing yourself to go to bars every weekend so you can ‘put yourself out there’ and meet someone, and you are having a terrible time, stop doing i. Get some momentum going behind the belief you don’t have to do a damn thing to meet this person, that he can come into your life in infinite ways.
Again, if you want things to be easy, if you want to be supported by the Universe to the max, you have be willing to step away from actions and the corresponding energies that contradict this.
Stop Seeing the Value in Suffering
Quite unfortunately, we have learned that in order to get the stuff we want, be happy and achieve success and a sense of accomplishment, we have to work super-hard, suffer and do all sorts of crap we don’t want to do.
And because the belief we will get what we want is buried in there somewhere, plenty of people do achieve great results as a result of all this suffering. So, this paradigm is heavily ingrained, and has a lot of ‘proof’ behind it.
We believe the suffering and hard work makes us more worthy of the eventual success. We have to ‘earn it.’ We have to pay our dues. The willingness to be all manner of miserable for an extended period proves how much we must want it.
Bullshit. We deserve everything we want for the sheer fact we exist,we deserve what we want simply for being, and it has nothing to do with what we are doing. We don’t have to prove anything to anyone.
So, while the idea of getting results primarily through energetic alignment, rather than lots of painful action is music to our ears, we have a hard time truly accepting this, and allowing things to be easy.
After all, we have been taught that it is hard to succeed, and you have to have this iron will and be willing to sacrifice, strain and strive.
Many have a totally disempowering belief some outside force is keeping tabs on all of us. And we maintain some hope it will decide to throw us a bone because we have been working so hard, and we are a good person who deserves it. That at some point, it will decide we have suffered enough, and proven our worth, and voila…we get what we want.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t vibe with any belief that suggests something beyond me is deciding what I can and can’t have, is evaluating whether I deserve something I want, and expects me to go through all sorts of crap to eventually get something that makes me happy.
Since we are so used to this idea that things have to be hard and unpleasant, we usually put our focus on ways to reduce this inevitable suffering, to make it more bearable, rather than consider the crazy idea the suffering doesn’t have to be part of the equation at all. Bonkers, I know.
Imagine the path to what you want could be easy and filled with fun and joy.
Imagine partaking in actions that felt good, and got you more results with less effort.
Imagine discarding the idea being happy requires doing a bunch of stuff that makes you unhappy.
Imagine there is an easier way even if you don’t know exactly what that looks like yet, and allow that sense of relief to wash over you.
What would it be like to be guided more fully by intuition, which again, would help line you up with what you wanted with less effort?
What are you doing right now to get what you want that feel like utter crap?
What value do you see in this suffering?
What could you do right now to make things easier, and extract yourself from the suffering?
If you believe you have made some headway in reducing your suffering, have you actually done that, or merely developed some strategies to make doing what you don’t want to do seem more bearable?
The thing you need to remember is, you can’t keep engaging in the suffering, vowing to release on it when an easier way shows up—again, the Universe can’t defy your vibration.
Things can’t change until you decide you will start doing things another way, that you will stop doing things the painful way.
Be Willing to Concede What You Want is Not the End All Be All
Whatever it is you want now is only a fraction of what is truly possible for you. Our desires at the moment are based on our current vibration and belief system.
Sure, we may have gone a bit bolder knowing what we now know about attraction, but by and large, things tend to be a bit muted, and ultra-specific.
And that’s fine..you don’t want to set your sights on things that you truly can’t see as possible for you now, like making 25 grand a month, when you have yet to make a dime with your new business venture.
Our big issue is we get super-attached to particular manifestations and this messes with our energy big-time. The idea of detaching and just allowing things to flow sounds good. But our mind really is not a big fan of this because it starts to worry that this mode of operating will somehow stop our manifestation from materializing.
Logically, it makes sense to focus on what we want, feel its absence and cultivate this strong sense of need. We feel super strongly things would improve for us if this particular thing were to manifest, and there is no convincing us otherwise.
Meanwhile, this energy totally clogs up the channels of receiving, and we block out oodles of other things that feel just as good as whatever it is we want, and possibly even better.
It is totally fine to want what you want. But, you will be able to allow it, and so many other things that aren’t on your radar right now, in so much more easily, if you can remember this limited view we have based on where we are in this moment energetically speaking.
Start paying attention to all the good things you manifest in all areas of your life—I am not just talking about the smaller manifestations that show you are aligning with a specific desire.
You just want to be happy, no matter what it is you want. And if you can trust big you and the Universe know exactly what you really want, you will relax a lot more about this whole manifesting thing.
And when I say this, I don’t mean this in the sense they know better than you, and will bring what they think is best. I mean they have a deeper knowing about what we truly want than we do.
Expanding on this idea of detaching,I can guarantee you a lot of the things you think you want now are not really what you actually want, but your mind gets in the way and convinces you otherwise.
Money is a perfect example. Yeah, money gives us option, freedom, choice. It provides us with more means to express ourselves. I’m all for financial abundance, don’t get me wrong.
But, as for how much we think we need to be happy, we are likely overestimating it greatly.
We set our sights on arbitrary amounts, like 10,000 a month or making a six-figures annually, thinking this magic amount will make everything perfect or we will finally feel secure.
There are certain things we want and we are convinced more money is the only way, when there are countless other ways we can acquire them. There are countless experiences we can attract that will give us the very same feelings of freedom, living our passion, yada, yada, yada, and money will not even factor into the equation.
Great example: I remember seeing an ad on a house sitting site once about a school in Brazil that was willing to house English speakers for free in exchange for interacting with the students for a few hours a day. They could basically stay for as long as they wanted.
If you were someone thinking about wanting to spend extended time abroad, I bet the first thing you would think about is how much money you would need to do that, and how you don’t have it, how are you going to earn it, and so go all the hindering, worrisome thoughts.
This sort of scenario wouldn’t even occur to you in a million years. A scenario that would allow you to do exactly what you wanted at a fraction of the cost you think is necessary.
Know that so long as you get your vibe up, you’ll get things that feel just like all the good feelings you are cultivating now. You will know whatever happens that appears ‘unwanted’ is just part of the path, and is not any indicator things are going south.
Be willing to concede that what you want is not just what is in your mind now, and what you are truly after goes so much deeper. Be willing to acknowledge you can’t even conceive of all the scenarios that would provide you with the exact feelings you seek, that would be very welcome by you if they were to show up.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again..we are always after feelings.
In Closing…
Like any of the other tips to make your work with law of attraction more effective, will you just be able to start applying these nuggets of wisdom perfectly straight away? Probably not, and that’s okay.
You’ll still find yourself being attached to certain things.
You won’t pull back when things get sucky and you’ll power on, forcing, manipulating and controlling.
There will be a part of you that will make accusations of laziness when you try to opt for the easy path, and you will dive into the suffering because you feel there is at least some guarantee of a result.
But, now that these things have entered your awareness, you will be better at making the shifts. You won’t totally be ruled by old habits..you will begin to formulate new ones. You will start making different decisions.
The momentum will build, the manifestations will come that show you there is something to this way of being. This increases the trust, which makes it easier to apply all the stuff you learn.
You will notice the pain more quickly, and step away before it snowballs. You will become less and less attached to certain manifestations, and that is when they will start coming in with ease ,and in ways your puny brain cannot anticipate.
You will start doing less but get more. The energy of allowing will gain more and more steam, and all sorts of goodies will gravitate towards you.
Your Turn…
What did you think of this post? Anything in particular resonate with you, or seem particularly applicable to your own LOA journey? What do you think is your biggest block to allowing? Do you have any tips or insights to share to get into a space of allowing more consistently?
[ Smiles ] Nice post, Kelli.
Most of the time, we delay getting what we want by not believing that we are deserving of material possessions; this stems from us being psychologically conditioned into believing that there is some type of higher value in suffering.
Nicely written!
Hi Renard
I am so glad you enjoyed the post. You are so right about those issues of deserving getting in the way of what we want. When it comes to material things, particularly money, I also think people feel like it is supeficial or something, but there is nothing wrong with wanting nice things and money to enjoy life to the fullest. In my travels, I certainly prefer more luxurious accommodations to a crap hole, for instance. So long as we don’t assign too much meaning to ‘things’ and money as a measure of success or happiness, we can achieve a good balance.
I cannot really identify what triggers our way of beign. Last year I went through a time of blessings, everything I wanted was delivered without any effort, pain, sufferings, everything was ruled by the LOA. I started noticing that by doing less I was getting more. What I felt was a deep positive vibration inside myself. The wierd thing, is that this eventually changed, ti seemed to have deactivated something, I’m not sure how to reactivate that sublime state. Probably is fear or something distracting me, but I know that it’s going to come back again!
Hi Michela
Thank you for your comment and sharing your experience. It can be challenging sometimes to figure out why certain manifestations came into our life, especially unwanted ones when things were going really well previously. What I would suggest is sitting a bit with the unwanted events and how they made you feel..pay attention to whatever comes up, particularly memories that feel just like the situation feels to you. If we can remember that everything that happens to us is just there to keep moving us towards what we really want to do, be and have, we can see these situations in a much different light, and start raising our energy back up again.
Whatever you had before is certainly not lost, and when things seem to get particularly tough, there are usually some really powerful lessons that can help us take things to the ‘next level’. Fear is usually a big one, and can crop up in many different ways.
Hey Kelli,
As I was reading this post, at least the first part, I was thinking about the difference between someone who is considered a genius because they can naturally play the piano, versus someone that takes up to 10 years to be somewhat sufficient.
What are the difference between these two?
I figure the one that’s a genius is already in the vibe of ‘naturally’ playing the piano, versus someone who have to constantly practice.
Now I say this because I myself have been playing piano for 9 years now. As far as me getting some challenging riffs, sometimes I have to step back for a few days. I come back and all of a sudden I know how to play the riffs after trying so hard for weeks.
This sounds like the state of allowing. I really believe in this. In order for you to get to where you are, you have to allow it. That is allow the universe to do it’s magic for you in order to get to that stage.
I always say this, but every time I think of the subject of LOA I always think of the Star Wars trilogy where Yoda keeps telling Luke Skywalker to ‘use the FORCE’. Yes the force is the universe, inside and outside of us, and for us to get anywhere in our lives, sometimes we have to stop thinking consciously about it and let the universe do it’s thing!
Thanks for the share Kelli! This was something I had to think about LOL Have a great rest of the week!
Hi Sherman
Thank you for sharing your experience and insights. It really is amazing what can happen when we pull back and just detach from a situation for a bit..things just seem to come together without any effort on our part. The challenge is breaking the conditioning of forcing things and thinking we have to keep taking action to get the result, even when doing that makes us feel like crap!
Your example of your piano playing is a great one. You are so right..it basically is a ‘force’ that is at the root of everything we see, and when we align with its energy, we can get quite the ally in shaping our life more to our liking.
Hi Kelli,
Hmmm. I think my biggest block is just relaxing and letting it happen. Yes it did resanate e with me particularly as I’m always trying to control things. Just a part of my nature. Very interesting article and very good at pointing out how to improve our manifestations.
Great info and something for me to contemplate on to improve things.
Barbara
Hey Barbara
I think we are all controlling to one degree or another. This ways of thinking and being can take a bit of time, and our progress tends to come in degrees. We may get really far with one aspect of our life, but then when we set our sights on a different type of manifestation, we have to kind of reteach our selves. Then, there is the stuff we want that is really important to us. The action in and of itself is not really the issue..in most cases we will end up taking some sort of action, but it is all about the energy that lies behind it. When it feels good, or makes us feel like we are contributing positively to the manifestation, great. But, when it seems to be motivated by fear, the desire to control or doubt, then we want to tune into that, and do our best to hold off. It can be challenging because our mind will fight us on it, but it does get easier.
Very good extensive article on releasing resistance. Being a over analyzer, having trust in myself in turn having trust in the universe and allowing things to come in is definitely something I have to keep reminding myself to do… Sometimes it is hard to determine when I should let go and let “God” or be more assertive and determined? I know… go in the direction of what gives relief but its hard in practice to even be aware enough in the situation to do this.
Keep up the good work!
Hi Leanne
Thanks for your comment and so glad you enjoyed the post. I am guilty of the overanalyzing as well. It can really get kicked into overdrive the more we learn about LOA, and we can kind of slow things down. But, it just is what it is. Over time, our trust solidifies as we see various manifestations strengthening the ‘proof’ that this way of operating can yield results.
It is hard to put it into practice because our mind fights us…the best thing we can do is pay attention to what motivates our desire to act, and when we see it is from a bad space, mustering up the courage to say no and do something else instead. This resistance lessens over time I think. I just accept the moments as best I can, and they pass more quickly.
Hi KC,
The getting more and doing less line vibes with me. I do work a bit here and there but my energy has improved dramatically and naturally, more neat results flow my way as I let go and grow through the process.
Suffering is BS. I mean we all experience suffering but punishing yourself is just silly. Some brag about hard work and struggles but their bragging, and the struggles, aren’t necessary at all. What is necessary is vibing high and letting go any idea that you need to strain, strive and struggle to rock it out in your life.
Well said as always KC….keep on inspiring!
Ryan
Hey Ryan
That vibes with me too. I am not exactly ambitious by nature, and a system that allows for getting what I want without working super hard really appeals to me! There is some sense of pride attached to stress and suffering, isn’t there? It is interesting how our mind works.
Hi Kelli,
Great post thank you. I had a moment of clarity yesterday and managed to avoid some action that wasn’t inspired action, it didn’t really feel right and it came from a place of fear and insecurity, so gathering all my strength haha I decided to not act… Well, let me just say that it has paid off big time. Instead, I did something that felt good and natural and by the evening I got a pretty good result :), I’m really excited, this works! I’m feeling very optimistic and positive today as a result, I think maybe I’m starting to get the hang of this.
Thank you again for your kind and wise words.
Hi Noa
Glad you enjoyed the post. I like how you put that..gathering all your strength..that is how it can feel sometimes to not act. We are so conditioned to diving in despite the pain and discomfort and forcing a result. Our mind goads us and will try to convince us we must do something. And look at the immediate feedback you received? Amazing right?
Even with that proof, you will find yourself struggling again probably..we all do. But, always remember to go back to all the times you got results the easy way. That appeases the mind and it releases its grip a bit. You are certainly getting the hang of it, and I am so happy to hear you manifested something that made you feel so good.
Hey Kelli, fantastic thoughts on doing what you feel like doing and letting go of the negative things, people, etc.
Right now my only problem is (lack of enough) money.
I tried Internet Marketing for a few years (full time, mind you) and it never worked for me or at least I didn’t achieve the success level I was aiming for.
I got lazy, I got comfortable, my “why” wasn’t big enough, there were a number of variables so I started slacking until I couldn’t do it no more.
Got married, caught in deep debt and I didn’t have any other choice but to get a full time job to keep me afloat.
It helps me pay the bills and I love working, I just hate being an employee and having to be told what to do, when, how, etc.
I just found out I’m not the employee kind of person so I’m planning for my work escape already.
Obviously I need to have a lot of things in place before even attempting to do it (I know I could just go and quit right now to make online entrepreneurship work yes or yes) but being married and having a ton of responsabilities doesn’t make it any easier.
I’m happy to know about people finding their inner strengths (like you have) because it gives you that sense of accomplishment that it CAN be achieved if you really put yourself to it.
So I’ve been doing that for a little while and hope to quit by the end of this year or probably sooner, it will all depend on how things develop on the Internet Marketing side.
Thanks for writing such a wonderful article, I know I’m going to be thinking about this a few times from work.
Take care and talk soon Kelli!
Sergio Felix
Hi Sergio
So glad you enjoyed the post, and thank you for sharing your experience. You seem to be a reflective person and I am sure you will discover your past difficulties came down to mindset, and once that shifts, you can’t help but get different results when you give it another go. When our internal world changes, our outside experience has no choice but to as well since it is all merely a mirror to our core beliefs, feelings and thoughts.
If the idea of leaving your job now causes you distress, it is probably best to wait. When we make bold moves which we truly do not feel ready for, it can really slow down our progress because we will be putting ourselves in a position to deal with some really heavy resistance, namely fear. The bolder the moves, the more trust we need to have in law of attraction, always being supported, things working out, etc…. When it is lacking, it is best to work on building it from a place of more security and not from a space where we feel a lot of pressure to make things happen, where we feel like we need something by a certain time, etc…
Just keep your intentions clear and work on building some positive energetic momentum behind your preferred outcomes and your path will start to unfold, and before you know it, you will be moving closer and closer to what you want.
I enjoyed reading this blog! Really! I learned so much from this, especially after I read the “stop seeing the value of suffering”. Thank you Kelli!
Hello Jeorgina
Thanks so much for your comment and so happy you enjoyed the post. The willingness to do that can be a life-changer for sure and make for a much more pleasant road towards the things we want. Don’t be shy…hope to ‘see’ you around more!
